Doesn't taste weird, actually smells kind of nice, easy to take, and works great. It's a good energy and libido booster, though mileage may vary on that from person to person. This product itself is good, so if it doesn't work I wouldn't blame this specific product, but black maca in general and your specific body chemistry. Just part of the game with supplements.

I have used maca regularly for the past 20+ years and this one is the best. Black maca is more rare than the other types and is believed to be the best one to take if you’re seeking stimulant-free energy that will keep you going and going like the energizer bunny. I sleep better when I use it, so I wake up feeling more refreshed — like how I remember feeling when I was a little kid.

I chose this product because proper dosing is between 1.5 t0 3. With this black maca root extract I can achieve that (2 capsules 1.5 grams, 4 capsules 3 grams). Plenty of energy also.

This is not it. I increased dosage up to 8 capsules and felt nothing whatsoever.

Thankfully, the actual product matches the label information depicted in the product details' pictures, and not the title. The title states 500mg, while the label information notes 1500mg per serving (2 capsules = serving size). Each capsule contains 750mg. (the 500mg is a typo, which probably was supposed to be 1500mg)The Supplement Facts on the product label does indicate the ingredient as being organic black maca. However, there is no official body certification for the organic aspect (like USDA Organic). Also conspicuous by absence, there isn't any certification/badges for GMP, Good Manufacturing Practices, or FDA Registered. I look for these badges as credentials of quality control/assurance, meeting a threshold for the integrity and quality of the supplement. With no certification of being organic, nor the GMP or FDA, results in a lower rating score.So, while black maca is considered a superfood and an adapoten (especially for males), and this product contain an organic instance, the mentioned issues results in a 3.75 - 4 star rating.
