definitely worth getting
This is definitely the upgrade this thing needed. I bought a Magnetrainer for my arms a few years ago after losing a leg, but eventually gave up on it and put it in the closet because it just moved all over the place unless I clamped it to the table with C-clamps, and then i had to un-clamp it when i was done, which was just too much of a hassle. This totally fixes that, even pedaling with a fair amount of tension, so now I'm going to start using it again. It went together easily. I did have to loosen the screws on the rubber feet and adjust them a little so they were flat on the table, but that was easy - the tool they send with this is a combination screwdriver/wrench.UPDATE: okay, it still moved around a little on the smooth wood counter top I have it on, so I spent $9.00 more on a "Zenware Non Slip Silicone Drink Coaster Set – Set of 8" here on amazon and put one under each little "foot" of the handcycle, and NOW it does not move and I can finally get into a pedaling rhythm.

Worth buying, but does not solve all stability problems.
Like most reviewers said, this should have been offered as an upgrade when the original MagnaTrainer was purchased. The original leg is now a useless item that will just take up space in my garage, or melted down and when recycled. Hopefully, when I discard it, it won't take up space in some landfill. It does help with lateral stability, but does not eliminate the need for bracing the machine, so that it does not move away from you as you peddle. Not perfect, but better than the original front leg.

Positive Progress
I did not get to try the 22 inch adjustable legs until I reached the midway tension point on my MagneTrainer. I have it set up with the ergonomic hand pedals for an upper body workout. When I reached the midway tension pt., the MagneTrainer started to slide occasionally. This is when I first tried my add on Adjustable legs. So far my trainer is staying in place. There is still a lot of tension levels to go. If my equipment starts sliding in the future i will repost stating such. Also the legs are on a heightened angle which works the chest area. For me personally this is a positive add on.

Terrible piece of engineering
In my case this did not stabilize it a whole lot more (using in home gym on an anti-slip "horse mat"). It just doesn't seem to fit together well. I loosened the front bolts and the rear bolts to get it so that all feet were MOSTLY flat, then tightened and it just seems like one back foot is often a little bit off the floor, leading to sliding and wobbling. For some reason, unlike the front feet that can turn and thus assure they are flat on the floor, these rear feet are screwed into the foot bar, fixing their position and making them not quite sit level. Stupid engineering! I'm going to experiment with removing the screws to let the feet turn.No directions are provided, though it doesn't take too much experimenting to figure out what needs to be done. Still a picture would have been nice!I still would have bought it, but it's over-priced for what it is and is not a fabulously engineered product.

Arm leg trainer.
Easy to assemble. Good workout with adjustable dial. Recommend purchasing the wider stability bar. Although it should be included as the standard for the price.

Now my bike remains stationary
This is really necessary to get the most out of the bike. In fact the original flat leg should be discontinued and the bike should only come with this leg. The bend in the leg makes it so the bike does not need straps to stay in place. You can actually get a good work-out without having to constantly adjust the bike.I did not use the straps since the chair that I am using would not accommodate the straps so I don't know if the straps would keep the bike in position.

Highly recommended to replace the leg that comes with the training cycle
I agree with the review: "This acts as a stabilizer and allows you to use a much greater variety of chairs, reclining/upright positions, and just feels like it places the training cycle in a more natural position. Its too bad you have to buy this since I believe the trainer should have had this configuration in the original design."Highly recommended to replace the leg that comes with the training cycle.

As in other reviews this product should have been a standard feature on the original product. Now I can use it.
