Surprisingly awesome
Bought for my rv. And I’m honestly surprised with not good it is. Super easy install. And looks like daylight when using at night. Wish it had a feature to dim the monitor easier at night the screen is pretty darn bright. But still really good

Don't wear sunglasses!
LCD displays have polorized filters, otherwise they don't work. This display is no exception. Unfortunately when wearing polorized sunglasses the screen goes black. You can see it just fine if you tilt your head 90° :-) So I'm knocking it down one star for that. The company should have anticipated this use case and selected a compatible LCD screen, but clearly cost was their motivation. Frankly, for all I know all backup cameras are like this. That said, I love this system, but it has some quirks I should mention. The cable is more than long enough to reach from the back of our 23' travel trailer to the display on the dashboard, but I bought a shorter cable for inside the SUV, run it out at the tailgate, and connect the two outside at the hitch, making it easy to disconnect. The cable has a white wire at each end, with no mention in the instructions. A ground wire? I left them disconnected. The "backup" feature is confusing. The cameraworks all time on either input with the green wire disconnected. The "backup lines" don't work on either input with the green wire disconnected. I suspect that if the green wire is connected to the backup lights that will trigger the "backup lines," but I'm not going to test that.Yes, the LEDs are bright! Not sure if they're needed, though, as the evening sky looking dark out the windshield looks like daylight on the monitor. I may cover the LEDs with tape and see how it does.As reported by others, the monitor is bright at night with no way to dim the backlight. You get what you pay for.To the person who said the cigarette lighter adapter doesn't work, the big red circle is a switch; if you press it, the system turns on and the red circle lights up.I didn't like the included display mount, which appears intended for permanent installation, so I bought a suction cup mount and hung the monitor off the windshield. I bought this suction cup: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BWY1TB55 and this adapter to mount the monitor to it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BLG3BLBM

First impressions, easy to install, good product, good price
Just got this and installed on my truck and will install second camera on trailer. So far good camera and monitor easy to install, just a matter of running the cords. Will update on longevity as time goes.

Cheap Wonderful Trash
It ain't a good picture. The screen ain't bright. The build is flimsy crap. The connectors are garbage. "Night vision" doesn't exist -- it just automatically shines awful LEDS.BUT -- But it's cheap ($40 as of Jan 2024). AND it works (so far). Therefore, at that price point it's a wonderful hot garbage that is exactly what I needed for the job.

Great Budget Camera for Campers
We have an old pup camper that's a pain to back into forested sites, and this backup camera was just the ticket to avoid plowing into trees, boulders, or other standard campsite obstacles. It's also been a lifesaver for getting it stored in the tight space on the side of our house. There's a generous amount of cord to connect the camera, although it was a bit tricky running the initial wiring under our vehicle to our hitch for hook-up to the camera on the back of our camper. I decided to mount it to our bumper instead of the roofing, though, to avoid causing leaks and minimize the camera's exposure. Pro-tip, I keep the camera covered (even with a camper cover), just to minimize the weathering on the camera.Images are clear and I like that I can even access the camera while driving if I want to just check for safe lane changing or any vehicle backup issues I'm causing on single-lane roads. I didn't hook it up to automatically switch on when in reverse since it's just as easy to activate the camera when I need it. Installation definitely takes more than 6 minutes as it claims if you want it done right, but it's worth the investment of time to get it set up properly. It's a quality camera with a good price point, so I'd say it's definitely worth it for a simple investment in safety and security. Happy camping!
