The adjustable toe controls the throat opening and minimise end grain tear out. The body of the plane is made from a stress relived ductile steel which is machined to a tolerance of +/- 0.001mm to ensure that the sole is both flat and square. The blade adjustment mechanism is both smooth and precise to control the depth of cut and allow for fine finishing on both hard and softwoods.Extremely well balanced, you can with one hand clean up tenons, rabbets and dadoes and create joints. The blade is made from a hardened tool steel that is excellent at retaining a keen sharp edge. The sole of the plane measures 130mm x 12mm with a maximum height including the top lever of 60mm.
