This is a thick rubber material. It is filled with water from a hose. It’s easy to fill but it is heavy. Good quality. After filled, it floated just beneath the surface of the water. The kids could bounce it on the bottom or sides of the pool. It was fun for them and kept them entertained. I was afraid of the water leaking, but it did not.

This is our 2nd one. Had one that lasted over 15yrs.One of our kids all time favorite pool toys.Now we are buying for the grandkids to enjoy.Just as we guessed it's a winner. The grandkids are 2 and 4 yrs old. My children used this they way until they went away to college. It's excellent quality. Easy to fill and play with. It's well worth the money.Every age even adults will enjoy.Looking forward to getting a few more so we don't have the grandkids fighting over who gets it

Really cool pool toy! This sinks and floats like a real watermelon would if thrown in the pool. You can throw it in and it’ll go to the bottom of the pool- then float up to the surface. It moves strangely and unexpectedly so it’s interesting and fun to play with - for kids and adults alike. It’s has air as well as water in it. We’ve had the same one now for 3 or 4 years. Occasionally we have to add air to it, but it’s been great. Long-lasting and I’d highly recommend it.

Small but grand kids have played with it often. It is only palm size ball and for that I find it a bit pricey. That isthe only reason for the 4 stars. material seems sturdy and well made. It will bounce in the water but in passingit does float to surface. Still all in all seems fun to use for the kids.

This is an awesome pool toy for kids! It keeps them entertained and works for all kinds of games—basketball, soccer, keep-away, you name it. It’s especially fun with a group (three or more is ideal), but even solo, it’s still a blast. Just make sure to fill the ball completely with water—if there’s even a little bit of air left inside, it’ll float instead of sinking like it’s supposed to. Once it’s filled properly, though, this thing is unbeatable. Highly recommend it—kids are going to love it!Why did you pick this product vs others?:This product stood out. Great quality and super fun! The color is bright and safe for adults or kids! Easy to dry and rinse off to clean! Great speed when throwing making a huge splash! Perfect product!

The light doesn’t work. It didn’t come with directions. Takes a long while to fill up. I am not impressed. My boys, however, think it’s awesome. They were extremely disappointed it wasn’t lit up for our glow night swim party though. I’d return but tossed the box by mistake. Am wondering if maybe they’ll send me a replacement light.

This is a great toy for my boys to play with in the pool! They love going under water and being able to play a game with a ball that won’t automatically float to the surface! It’s not huge - fits great in our toy bin we already have! I have boys with ages ranging 8-13 and they love it!
