surprisingly good shoe.
I wear 11.5's, not the biggest shoe but carrying full size shoes in my backpack takes a lot of space but I still wanted some lifting shoes for the gym instead of my work boots / sneakers so I settled on these...The big surprise was realizing these were straight up so comfortable AS IS I just wear these everywhere now. They are my walking / hiking / everything shoes now (except work).Really nice shoes, the price seems right as well I don't feel like I'm over paying but also don't feel like it's a huge bargain either - it's just right. Can't say much about durability that takes months to figure out... they are very thin so time will tell if I walk right through them but for now I'm so impressed.

Very comfortable and good price
Wear them every day which is over 100k steps a week. The toe box could be a smidgen wider but other than that no complaints

Great shoes
Great shoes - padding is just enough for comfort, not so much that it interferes with good foot form. Zero drop, wide toe box, and minimal padding.

Awesome show but a little narrow
As much as I love what the brand stands for, the toe box is so narrow. I have several different brands of zero drop shoes for better feet but these were just too narrow and I don’t even have wide feet. Particularly right at my pinky toe was getting folded in. I wear a cheap pair of whitins for work and honestly the toe box on those is just what I look for. It’s a shame cause they look awesome and are a great value compared to my expensive altras. And the insert they come with has great comfort. Overall is you have narrow feet these will probably work great for you or if your looking for a high performance application I guess but try to find them in wide

Outstandingly comfortable and all-around shoe
I have the previous version of this shoe as well. Both run small in size. Get a 1/2 size bigger than you normally would. The HFS II is very different from the original. Do *NOT* think this is an upgraded or improved or better shoe than the original. It's night and day. The original is an outstanding BAREFOOT running shoe with a very thin sole through which your feet can actually feel the surface of the ground. I love running in those shoes but they are tiresome walking around in all day for hiking or city walking. The opposite is true with the HFS II. The sole is clearly stiffer, possibly slightly thicker too. It's an awesome shoe for the whole day for minor hiking, city walking, going to work or going out. It's also dressy enough to use for social events. But for running, it's a big NO for me because there's no barefoot feel to them. IMO...

Too small
I still don't get why manufacturers do this with sizes. I'm a true 8.5 and ordered a 8.5 and although they fit they fit true to size BUT I have no rooms to wiggle my toes. The shoe fits like a sock ZERO room to properly extend your toes. Go half size or a size bigger if you're gonna purchase these.

For "uncomfortable" shoes, these are incredibly comfortable!
I bought these as a multi-purpose shoe for walking to-and-from every day tasks in the city and for weightlifting. Just altered my workouts for more endurance and stamina, rather than the previous focus of power and strength.Incredibly comfortable shoes, despite the founder's YouTube commercial suggesting that they're uncomfortable and explaining why they will be uncomfortable to begin with.Yes, for the first few days, there were some minor aches and pains in the feet, but that's from all of those years of not adequately using all of those smaller muscles, joint, and ligaments in the foot and ankle area from the pillow-plush cushioned shoes I've bought over the years. After naturally adjusting my stride, pace, and step cadence walking, I feel much more stable and secure to the earth than previously. If you're in martial arts or foot-heavy sports, you'd definitely appreciate that aspect.

Good for a few months.
No, they do not last a long time. 11 months in, soles are gone, fabric is starting to tear on sides, as well as the inside of shoe against heel, that is completely worn away leaving a hole. Shoes are very light weight and comfortable but you don’t get a lot of use out of them.
