Romans! Persians! Frontiersmen!
These are great! They are apple cider vinegar based because that's what ancient cultures made drinks from to avoid spoilage. If you do not like vinegar, you will not like these. They are refreshing and have a flavor similar to adding electrolyte mixes to water. My kids love them too! Find your favorite flavor combo from the three.

Good Flavors that include Apple cider vinegar
I like the flavor of these apple cider vinegar drinks. Low sugar and satisfying flavors.

Caution Required
This might be an acquired taste. Possibly, modern palates are spoiled by sugar and salt to too much extent. Possibly, the vinegary aspect of these drinks is fitting with some ancient dietary element. Possibly, there is an ingredient assumed yet not present in the recipes used. I may never know and I haven't found any answer online (yet).I will persevere, slowly. The drink could conceivably go well with plain beans (?), porridge (?), plain bread (?).

The Uplifting Taste of Ancient Intelligence
I have been excited about Ancient Drinks since I first heard about the product. Apple Cider Vinegar is simply good stuff for the body, and I am down to try any product experimenting with its loooooong known health values. Ancient Drinks takes the experimentation to a new level with a subtly in the flavor and an infusion of other well-known goodnesses that keep your hydration, energy, and ecosystem at peak levels for mental and physical performance... even if that performance is recovery. There is so much that we can learn from nature, and those that leveraged nature to fuel humanity's progress and potentail. All of that is in these cans, and I am grateful for all involved in the making. If you are experimenting with your health, your longevity, or your endurance, try tasting the wisdom of the ages.

Interesting, but with mixed results on execution
First off, I think that the idea for these relic drink products is commendable and really fun. The can design and marketing is on point. I got the variety pack as I wanted to try all three flavors.I will start by saying that I think all these drinks would benefit from carbonation. They also could have more "flavor".I did not care for the posca, and will not be getting it again. I couldn't taste any cardamom or cayenne in it at all, or any sweetness. I just tastes like watered down acv.The sekanjabin was better, with a delicate mint and chili flavor, and a pleasant aroma. I found it refreshing, but would be better with carbonation. The Switchel was good, and tasted as I expected it to. I would buy this again. As with the others, I still would rather have this carbonated.I look forward to seeing what other flavors of Ancient drinks are introduced.

Horrible, pungent, musky, nasty liquid
Horrible drinks imagined by people who must think NyQuil tastes great. So bad. And low quality cans, too. One arrived punctured.

Great alternative to sugary sports drinks
I have always been a big consumer of sports drinks like gatorade and hydration supplements like LiquidIV. Ancient Drinks was a bit of a revelation as it provided some of the same benefits, tasted great, and is something I could even mix it in a cocktail. I have been recently warned by my doctor about how alot of these sports drinks and hydration supplements are over-sugared, so I found AD at the right time. I just enjoy drinking them and have been keeping my fridge stocked since they came out. Definitely also has a bit of kombucha vibe to it, but more drinkable than some of the kombuchas I have had where you only really want one a day. Overall I'm a big fan, cant wait until I can go buy a case in my local grocery store.

It’s the vinegar…
Despite the fact that this stuff is pretty pricey, I decided to give her a go. I was intrigued by the marketing and the idea that these drinks are based off historical recipes. I honestly tried to like them, but whoof…it was rough. In my humble opinion, it would be be great if not for the vinegar. Most of the flavors are unique and they aren’t too bad (I like the spicy kick), but when the vinegar aftertaste hit, I was done. I refuse to throw it out after spending so much, so maybe I’ll acquire a taste for it, but it’s gonna be a rough road. You would think 7 grams of added sugar would help to mask the vinegar taste, but it doesn’t seem to. If they tweak the recipe a bit and bring the amount of vinegar down, or find a way to nullify that aftertaste, it might just be enjoyable. If you’re reading this before you buy, buy it anyway and be brave. This country wasn’t built on quitters.
