The other reviews are right, it really is a 5 min job as long as you have torx bits (T20, at least for GolfMK6). You do have torx bits, since you own and do your own work on a German car right? A simple cheap set of trim pry tools is nice too if you don't want to risk screwdriver scratches.Charges well so far, has a fuse on the line, lights are on/off with the headlights just like the cigarette lighter/ash tray since they're piggybacking off it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:very easy to install and works great. Now I've got plenty of charge options in an older car

Easy to plug in. Works great. Fast charges. It's easy to take a little of the corner off so it can be installed on the far left or far right side. Lights up well and is the same color as the cars.

Worked well with my MK6 2017 Jetta. Really good value if you need extra ports and do not have the money for a new head unit.

Overall, happy with the product. It literally took less than 5 minutes to install, the longer wires made it easy to get everything plugged in and fitted back together. They seem to be decent enough quality and I like that it has a fuse built in.The fit and finish is alright, the plugs don't sit totally flush with the other dummy buttons and the paint/coating isn't a perfect match, but it's close enough that you probably wouldn't notice unless you really look. I'd say it's worth it for the price and much better than my old charging setup.

Super easy installation and so far it works great! Plug and play, just remove 2 screws to access the 12v outlet and remove 2 of the blank plates. Pop in the new outlets and Bob’s your uncle! 👍🏼
