Nice Dashcam but get the 3 wire hardwire kit
Would have given 5 stars but the cable is too short for optimal routing in my Hyundai Tucson. Other than that, installation is straight-forward. The portion of the cable between the USB-C and the module should be at least 6 inches longer. Routing from the rear view mirror through the headliner and the left side pillar leaves the module interfering with the door.Need to modify my review, was 4 stars now one star. While it does power the dash cam, it does not work for parking mode. A 2 pin OBD outputs the same voltage whether the car is on or not so the camera never knows to enter parking mode. It just stays in regular mode. I guess I will have to replace it with the hardwire kit as that has ACC off when the car is off.Another modification of my review. I was contacted by RedTiger customer support and they explained how everything is supposed to work with the OBD kit. I had already purchased the hardwire (3-wire) kit and installed it. That change has made the parking function work as I had expected. With the OBD kit, parking mode could be delayed for up to half an hour and that was not acceptable for me.I have to commend their support team as they kept with me until I was satisfied.

Works with VIOFO A229 Pro
Was the perfect solution for me. I have a 2015 Chrysler 200 and on my particular vehicle there were no ACC fuses in interior fuse box so fuse tap was useless unless I ran it through fire wall to outside fuse box, For some reason my car didn't match any fuse configuration I found online or in my manual.VIOFO dash Cam voltage cutoff for parking mode is found inline on the hardwire kit and cuts the circuit to dash cam if voltage drops below setting, so needed a solution that did same. There are generic OBD II kits out there but I was leery of them so went with name brand This was the perfect choice. as it has a type C connector and same voltage output as VIOFO hardwire kit. Functions superbly. Cuts off voltage when reaches setting. Powers camera In normal and parking modes properly. Just FYI your OBD port doesn't usually go to sleep right away so may be 5 minutes or more before it switches to parking mode. Not been a issue.I also like that the voltage is displayed in the power module so you can see voltage. Didn't put a voltage meter on car but it matched my cars voltage display on dash readout. For those reading online blogs that are leery of OBD II power options and sending bad signal to computer, the 2 OBD II connectors that I have used, this one and Blackvue's, only have power pins. They DO NOT connect to the data pins.In Summary This worked great for my particular setup and car. Hope this helps

Works with ROVE R2-4K DUAL Dash Cam!
After trying two different hard-wire kits that are supposed to work via being plugged into the cabin fuse panel, I was nearly ready to do something drastic like running a wire directly to the battery. I'm still unsure why those other kits didn't work, it may be some strange compatibility issue with my 2024 Hyundai Venue.Thankfully, after looking at other options I came across these kits to plug directly into the OBD port. This was the first I had heard of these, so I researched and watched many videos from mechanics and other experts on using the OBD port for accessories like this, and there seemed to be a general consensus that it's safe. One of the more insightful reviews said if you're going to use this type of cable, make sure you only get one that is connecting to the power pins of the OBD port. Unless your dash cam or other accessory specifically requires data access, it's best to only use the power pins and not risk sending errant signals to the system.Upon inspection of the RedTiger product pictures, it appears to only use the power pins. So I took the chance, got this, plugged it in, and to my immense delight my dash cam powered to life! I ran various tests with the camera and cable to make sure that parking mode and all the other features of the camera worked as intended and to my satisfaction everything is working. So, I can verify this cable works perfectly with my ROVE R2-4K DUAL Dash Cam.After that it was only a matter of hiding the cable in the trim and running it down to the OBD port under the dash. I found this very easy and didn't have to drill or otherwise modify my car to install it. I just had to pry the trim back enough to slip the cable in and push it all back into place. I then used some double sided tape to secure the meter box of the cable to the underside of the dash and zip tied the excess cable in place around the mounted box.

Park mode does not work
Update: Outstanding customer service, the seller contacted me over this review to ensure that I got the correct cable to work with my vehicle. Not many companies go through the effort of making sure that the customer is happy after the purchase is complete. The product seems to be good quality and it is easy to use making the installation of a dash cam a breeze. A caution to buyers is, if you have a newer car, park mode will not work. You will need to get the other kit that wires into the fuse box.

CX-30/3 owners can use this, BUT is is SHORT!!!
Redtiger dashcam? for current model Mazda3/cx-30? USE THIS. it works. it is much better choice than going through the firewall.but beware! the wire on this is so SHORT that it barely reaches from the DRIVER side of the rear-view mirror, even if you route the cable the way owner's manual recommend. If you place the camera on the passengers side or even at the center, the voltage regulator will hang on the side of the console and will not allow you to close the driver's side door.with that said, parking mode works, the g-sensor activation works, and so far no battery drainage problem.

No Parking Mode on F17
It works to power the camera, just doesn’t enable parking mode, as was stated in the item description. That’s the only reason I bought this power cable.

Parking mode and regular power source for dashcams
This power source works as intended. The fuse panel in my car's passenger cabin was hard to reach so I decided to try OBD power. Regular and parking mode work. I haven't had any issues with it over-draining my battery yet.
