These are thick and will be reusable. Much thicker than a standard ziplock bag. The roll top seals the bag and can allow them to be carried in a pouch or cargo pocket. I watched quite a few YouTube videos where these were used and I agree they are tough and lightweight for any survival kit.

These are soft and flimsy bags. They can hold water. “Soft and flimsy” also means light weight and easy to stash in go bags, camping and hiking packs, etc. Glad I have these. For emergency use (hope I never need them).

Based on my experience with this product, I recommend it as an emergency water container. It is light weight, takes us very little space and appears to be durable. I purchased a three pack of these earlier this year for my emergency bag for my car. I tested one out to see how well the product would work. I filled it with water and then treated the water with potable aqua tabs. i wanted to see if the chemicals in the tabs would react with the plastic. I could not observe any reaction and once I emptied and dried the bag i put it back in the trunk of my car for the summer. Last week I tested it again, no leaks or discoloration observed. I order six more and will put them in my wife's get home bag that we keep in her car and in the get home/emergency bag for my work and personal car.

These bags designed for Lab use work great for emergency water collection, treatment and storage. They pack small and will "stand" when full. the closure is a wire fold-over and bends to hold it shut is fine, however, it isn't watertight. Put a couple in your personal survival kit (PSK) along with water treatment tablets and you'll have a convenient solution to water storage and treatment.

I actually used one to give some tropical fish to a friend work well as they stand upright great. Told him to reuse the bag for same purpose.

These are good for survival kits and adding to your 10 essentials kit. They will fit into almost any survival kit no matter how small. One or maybe two will fit into something like a nylon magazine pouch along with a ferro rod, disposable lighter, and some water purification tablets so you can always have them on your belt or attached to your fixed blade knife sheath.
