I understand why Jura recommends and even reminds you to decalcify you coffee machine. In my case, my municipal water is some of the best in the nation and I doubt that I really need to "deep clean" the inner piping and heating elements, BUT, we really like the fantastic coffee so why risk gunking up the inner parts? I take a statin pill every day to manage my cholesterol and minimize clogging up my arteries -- same idea, eh?

I thought about saving a few dollars and using a generic version but when I think about how expensive my machine is I just end up buying the name brand one. If anyone knows of a different brand that saves money and works perfectly, I'd love to know about it
