Excellent view with quoted sources.
Others have said this book is hard to read due to language interpretation but I have found it a well written and easily readable essay which basically deals with the connection between our own classical renaissance based minds and similar thought in greater antiquity. No doubt academics will pall at the use of freely quoted but unreferenced original sources but I have checked a number of them and found them correct. Well worth reading with an open mind. This isn't a how to do it or life skill / self help book. It is however very interesting to read and the concepts explored, although probably not favoured by mainstream academia are worth deep consideration.

Seriously thought provoking modern classic.
I had been looking for this book for a long time now, and was really happy to see it finally back in print. Not the easiest book in the world to read, but absolutely fascinating in it's basic premise which is that some of what we thought of as pure myths turn out to be very cleverly encoded "messages" from a long-lost civilization.Highly recommended.

A bit labourious
Long winded and not an enjoyable read. Love the subject matter, I’m interested in Velikovsky, The thunderbolts project, Graham Hancock, which read and flow well. I think perhaps as this was written as an essay and initially in Italian it makes it hard work to read. The language of the sentences are lengthy and half the words come be used to make the same conclusion. Would be easier if more succinct.
