GoPro Hero5 Black Action Camera, Black

Have tried different action cams and was going to buy a cheap one coz I really did not want to afford one at this rate. But finally went for it coz I didn't find any other worth competing to the GoPro and trust me, it is worth every penny.Even if you are a noobie like me in photography you are simply gonna love shooting with it. The POV shots are simply amazing and incomparable. Don't compare this with the sjcam and Xiaomi Yi thinking it will offer the same kind of shots. If you can stretch your budget this is the one you want to buy. Does the job really well. Only other action cam that will come close is the sony action cam... But it's usability is limited.

The best GoPro yet. I'd recommend not buying it if you already have GoPro Hero4 Black 4K. The major difference I'd say between the two is that Hero5 Black is waterproof out of the box up to 10mtrs. Also, Hero5 is slightly bigger and thicker than Hero4 Black 4k (attached pictures). If you have Hero3 then definitely go for Hero5 without giving it a single thought. But if you have Hero4 Black 4k, make sure you check some comparison videos before getting Hero5 Black.Memory card is not included so order one along with the camera. Should be Class 10 MicroSDXC U3 for best performance.The frame of the Hero5 had scratches on the buckle when it got delivered (see attached pictures). The box was sealed however so I'm guessing it happened during the delivery process.The LCD back is not exactly that responsive if you have big fingers like me. Sometimes I end up pressing something else. It's not feather touch types, have to press a little to make it respond.USB is Type-C but that's not a problem, the cable is included in the box.The USB/HDMI slot door on the Hero5 is a bit difficult to open at first. But there are videos on YouTube which can guide you to open that with ease.Hero5 is compatible with almost all of the existing GoPro accessories other than the model-specific accessories (such as battery bacpac, LCD etc.)In box items: Hero5, Mounting Frame, Mounting Buckle, 1-Curved & 1-Flat Surface adhesive mount, USB Type-C, GoPro Logo stickers x3, Manual & Safety Instructions.

The GoPro is a near perfect camera not just for action photography but for regular photos as well. Yes it does NOT replace a DSLR but it takes extremely hi-res photos which can be enhanced in Adobe Lightroom later on and the results are impressive.I also used the GoPro underwater while Scuba diving without a housing case and it works perfectly. No problems. GoPro is indeed an expensive camera and I do think they are extremely overpriced (there ARE cheaper options in the market if you're not willing to spend 30K! and those cameras do a good job too!) However notwithstanding the price if I had to rate the performance I think it is THE best camera one can use, more so because of the image and video stabilization feature and it being waterproof. I am extremely happy with GP5.BIG NEGATIVE points for it's battery. It is the equivalent of an Apple iPhone and just for that reason it MAY become very inconvenient at times because you're always trying to save battery to ensure some juice is left for one or two last photos/videos.You will also need a minimum 64GB SD card with this if you take many videos. 32GB is too less.I am NOT sure if GoPro gets this feedback but I'm sure there will SOON be a competition in the market which makes a cheaper action cam with same features and a better battery life and I will then surely switch to that to leave them HIGH & DRY!

I have always been a GoPro love and as usual the love for GoPro not only continues but is enhanced with the purchase of a new generation. I have been a GoPro since years and what i have evaluated is that HERO 5 Black is the best uptil now.If we compare HERO 5 vs HERO 4:-1. Better Stabilisation2. 4K Resolution with a touch display.3. Doesn't heat too fast.4. Better handling5. More features6. Less Buttons7. Slight change in weight.It is way better than other cheap action cameras.If you can spend this much definitely go for it.

I love it. I didn't want to buy it in the first place but a friend convinced me. Reluctantly I bought it, and used it only after second day of trekking. But the pics are freaking amazing!!!! The video quality is out of the world. I can use it under water. It's small and easy to carry. Super easy to operate. No special classes required to learn how to use this camera (unlike how you'd need to learn to operate DSLR). It has 3 types of shots that you can take, including wide camera angle. Any beginner should buy this! And s/he will feel like a pro. And there are already so many GoPro experts out there, so needless to talk about its qualities with them.

No doubt it's amazing camera. If you know proper setting of GoPro (day &night) and video editing, you can get excellent videos and photos. But not satisfy with battery life, it's can record 1.5 - 2 hours only. Should carry extra batteries.

Not so great Action Camera..Pros:1.Day time videos are great2. Timelapse option is good3. Voice commands are too good4. Capture App is good and can easily control from mobile.Cons:1. No image stabilization2. Poor low light picture quality3. Too bad battery performance4. Bad way to recharge the battery. Have to buy extra battery and battery charger for around Rs. 60005. Accessorize are too costly.6. No easy way to remove battery & SD cardWished to have some Garmin Virb Ultra 30 Action Cams feature like Sensor data embedded in video.

Product is so cool......the camera resolution is awsome.....the touch screen is superb.....only there is a problem with the battery backup. We need a better battery Backup (may be in hero go pro 6)....Based on the present scenario and several comments in YouTube, I found that go pro is the only one, which gives atleast 1.5 hours battery back if we recording the videos in 4K 30 fps.Hat's off go pro....hero 5.....it's feeling like Apple 7+ so go for it....it's really nice and worthy if I compare with others.
