Awesome!!! durable and works well. I have this mounted on the back of my spare tire. One day I forgot to strap it down. When I hit the whoops it launched it at least 12 feet in the air landing hard on the ground. It suffered minor damage and a few scrapes and a dent but it still works perfectly. I truly expected it to be in pieces. I run it in a roof top tent low and regulate temp by opening the window. I run it all night and I get 2-3 nights out of the one gallon tank.Highly recommend!Durability tested and passed!!

Edit: after a three week trip, visiting national parks, the input plug/prongs to connect to power to the unit pushed through the plastic piece so that I wasn’t able to plug it in. Fortunately, the only part of the unit that has screws and not rivets is that portion. I was able to JB weld the prongs in place for one night, and on the second night, the plastic piece, holding the prongs, broke in a different place.The unit has been working great, and the small issue has caused the unit to be unusable. I can’t find any way to contact the manufacturer to find a solution or a replacement part. I’ve attached pictures. The plug-in was extremely tight and difficult to plug into the unit from the start and I just didn’t realize that the difficulty of unplugging it and plugging it back in, was causing the plastic to fatigue.This unit is great. It is easy to operate, heats extremely well, has a nice ventilation/fan mode if you just want fresh air, and is above all quiet. Like really quiet! Two issues the port sticking out of the unit is so short that it is a real pain in the neck to get the hose on. Sparks Overlanding makes a great adapter. However the heat outlet/duct that is sent with the unit is not the standard 75mm/3 inch hose that most all diesel heaters use. It is a very nice hose, it is insulated and even better when collapsed it stays collapsed and is easy to pack and store away for travel. It is slightly larger at 85mm/3.3 inches so is won't fit any of the adapters that you can buy to make this unit really great. Plus it is very loose on the small outlet port with a lot of play making it really hard to use a hose clamp to attach it. I am on Amazon now looking to replace the hose, but am sure I can't find one as quality as this hose (insulated, staying collapsed). Too bad it isn't a true 75mm hose or it would be perfect. Sunster, make the flange for the outlet hose longer so you can attach a hose to it and make the duct/hose a true 75mm and you have got the perfect all-in-one diesel heater.

This thing blows hot! No previous experience with these type of heaters. I was looking for one that was advertised as quiet, this one is barely audible while in use (the blowing air is mostly louder the fuel pump) Tried it for the first time on an overnight trip in upper 20 degree Fahrenheit weather and it worked flawlessly, never turned it on above the first setting and was too warm at one point so turned it off for about an hour in the middle of the night. It does take a couple of minutes or so to get back up to warm temperatures when cold but fired right back up with the remote. The Bluetooth app is confusing and not very feature rich but works. Had it running about 10 hours at low setting and had about a half of a tank of diesel left. Using with a rooftop tent and very happy so far!

My first diesel heater purchase and it has been interesting.First the bad.Read in instructions and filled with new clean diesel. Connected power converter to heater and 110v outlet in my shop. Unit began warm up cycle and ran for about 5 minutes. Then there was a loud pop from the black box of the power converter and it blew the cover off of it. Unit shut off and pufed some unburnt diesel vapor back through the intake. Upon inspection the 5 Amp fuse in the power converter blew and cut power to the heater causing a immediate shut off. It's clear that the heater draws more than 5 amps during start up. I will be replacing this with a better quality higher amp rating power converter.Now the good.Test 2 was with a 12v car battery hooked to a trickle charger and keeping a steady 13v. Unit powered up and heated up quickly. Ran for over 2 hours with no smoke or issues and shut down cleanly.Heater put out good heat and runs clean through the exhaust.The heat outlet tube doesn't have much room to attach to the heater itself but does work. May need to add an extension and large hose clamp later on.Remote works well and so far the heater does not leak fuel.Overall not a bad heater for the money but do expect to have issues from the supplied power inverter.

Easy to setup and use. Operates as promised and puts out a good amount of heat. Very nicely built and compact. I do wish that the control panel with the temperature display was removable so that it could be placed elsewhere in the room.

Power supply (120v to 12v) failed within first five minutes of operation. Once I replaced this, the unit runs great and is very quiet. Like all other diesel heaters I have used it cannot run constantly at over half power or will overheat (E05) and shut down.

Upon initial power up the heater made a lot of noise, kind of like playing cards in bicycle spokes. I pulled it apart by drilling the lower rivets out and discovered that the fan was rubbing against the housing. I sanded the interference area and the noise disappeared. All you hear now is the blower and a very faint sound of the fuel pump pulse. The Chinese instructions are poorly translated and the short video's on the Sunster website aren't particularly informative. The heater will set outside my small camper and I will duct the heat inside. The remote control seems to work well so I will modulate the heat by turning the unit off and on as needed. It could be a much nicer unit if the thermostat was mounted within the remote control and the heater would actually be thermostatically controlled. The heater is low cost and I think it is more capable but the information is simply not available unfortunately.
