Purchased two sets and and one set had one led which failed to follow the applied scene. Reported the problem through the Govee app and a replacement arrived within days. Available programs offer a lot of variety and would be sufficient, but the ability to make your own and apply custom programs created by others is a lot of fun. Couldn’t be happier with the product and the customer service!

I've had it for ten minutes and decided to write this review. I haven't tried many of the options yet, I have been setting up a tree for Halloween. I already have purple and orange lights that twinkle and and I wanted to try something different.It was easy to map the shape, and connecting to it was a breeze too. I didn't even open the directions! Just downloaded the app and did what it said.I was a little sad when I finally looked at the presets and there were only 3 Halloween modes. But then I remembered the AI. First thing I asked for was a spooky tree, and it gave this really cool eerie green effect that casted a ton of shadows. Then I always cover my Halloween tree in ghosts so I asked "give me a ghost themed tree" and I got this adorable purple red and pink number (that is the effect in the video) that looks like the lights are the ghosts flying around the tree! Hands down, knocked my socks off. I know I'm easily amused but I could spend hours just messing with the settings!If you're wondering if the gimmick is worth it, it is! They are bright and can do nearly anything you can imagine. Go get decorating!

This is a really great light string if you want something you can customize without going all the way into the program your own light show category. The lights are bright, the colors look great, and it only takes a few minutes to sync them to the app. From the app you can select from dozens of preset effects, and many of those you can further customize by setting the speed of the effect, or you can create your own look and choose the color for each individual light and add some different movement options if you want. Super fun to play around with.The lights are packaged well to keep all the components safe in transit and the light string is on a spool that you can keep and reuse to store them. There's a velcro cord- wrap rather than just wire twist ties to keep the power cord organized and the power button is large and easy to find if you plan to turn them on and off manually rather than using the app to set a schedule for them. The actual wires also seem thicker than the cheap LED strings so they should last for a long time without breaking. The packaging and design really make these feel better quality than lights shoved in a box from Target or wherever.I have a set of curtain lights from Govee that I used last year and was really impressed with so I'm excited to expand my options with this string. If you're wanting to create a custom holiday look without spending hundreds or thousands of dollars buying controllers and pixel strings and learning sequencing software then this is a great choice. Definitely recommend this.

Bought these to decorate my tree. Took these out of the box and they wouldn't power on at all no matter what I tried. I could feel one of the white "bricks" between the strands of the wire getting warm so something is up for sure. I'm super disappointed, especially considering how much these cost you'd think there would be some quality control. Anyways, I really want to give them a try but now I have a naked tree waiting to be decorated. I decided to return and re-order since these are next day shipping. I'll give the 2nd one a try and if they're a dud too then I'm going to avoid this company all together. Didn't bother contacting Govee customer service since it's a Sunday and I need these sooner rather than later. Just returning them is a better use of my time. I'm giving you a 2nd chance, Govee. Please don't disappoint me again.
