I did the research. And used it.
The media could not be loaded. Ok. Too many people have way too much time on their hands to post novels for reviews . . . but lucky for all of you, so do I. After reading every review I could find, positive and negative, I was skeptical but cautiously optimistic about this pitcher. I didn’t just rely on the marketing claims. I read online comparisons, reddit posts after reddit posts and I even reached out to Clearly Filtered customer service with specific questions about the design, materials, filter testing, manufacturing origin, and whether they’ve made updates in response to customer feedback. I found the answers to the questions, and now, after weeks of use (purchased June 2025), I can confidently say: many of the previous issues have been fully resolved, and this pitcher is really as good as it seems. Here’s my take after using it for a bit:"Loose filter / top not secure"This has clearly been addressed in the current version (v3). I confirmed with customer service that the pitcher has gone through two design upgrades since launch in August of last year (both of which were based on customer feedback . . . so they’re listening).. The filter housing now snaps firmly and securely into place. I can tilt it, pour fast, or even fill it to the brim. Nothing wobbles, nothing comes loose. I’ve also seen the videos referenced in other reviews and compared them with my unit: those design flaws are no longer present."Lid leaks during pour"This was a concern in early versions, but it’s no longer an issue. I’ve tested mine extensively, no leaks, no overflowing. The top reservoir has been redesigned for better pressure distribution and drainage. If you pour too soon (before most of the water drains into the lower chamber), you might see a spill, but that’s user error, not a design flaw. Pour after most of it filters, and it works flawlessly."Feels cheaply made / thin plastic"I actually compared this side-by-side with my old ZeroWater pitcher. Yes, the Clearly Filtered pitcher is lighter, but it’s not cheap. It feel durable without all the bulkiness and the shape is perfect for the door on my fridge. Mine has already survived a minor drop without a crack so I’m feeling pretty good about it. If I had to offer some feedback, I would suggest something to cover the pouring area so that stays clean and I havnt cleaned it yet but it seems like it might be difficult to clean under the lid. Minor, but feedback if theyre reading these."Handle squeaks"I’ve handled mine full and empty and haven’t experienced any squeaking. I specifically asked customer service about this, and they confirmed that “we bulked-up the handle” was updated in the latest version. Maybe that was an early defect, but it’s definitely not the case now. And, what a weak attempt at a negative point . . ."Priming bag doesn’t work"I kinda get this frustration, but its needed for the grossly superior filtration. So just deal with it once every 4 months and move on. It’s not that bad. The priming process is not essential every time, just for first use or after extended storage. And if done properly (slow, steady pressure), the bag works perfectly. Still not convinced? My filter worked beautifully after one proper prime, and I just did a second prime for good measure. It’s easy.Filter Lifespan & PerformanceYes, the filter is rated for 100 gallons. But unlike other brands, Clearly Filtered’s testing is third-party certified and to NSF/ANSI standards to remove more than 365+ contaminants. I called the lab they reference (yes, I really did) and they confirmed all the published results. ZeroWater doesn’t even come close (and yes, ZeroWater adds sulfites, which I want nowhere near my water). This pitcher is a major step up from my opther pitcher, and based on how they’ve handled updates so far, I expect future iterations to get even better. If you’ve seen negative reviews from earlier users, know that many of those problems have already been solved. I almost didn’t buy it because of them but I’m so glad I did the research and gave it a shot.

So great!
Short of the long: this water filter/pitcher is great! It worked, was easy to use, and I didn't have any issues.I'm not new to gravity filters. I have the big 3 gallon filters that you can use with pond water. Looking at reviews, I feel like many people just aren't used to a filter that will eliminate so many things. It takes time. So let's start from the beginning...Priming the filter is really easy. Fill up, screw on the priming bag, squeeze, and repeat. I did it three times. Yes, water comes out the sides. No, it's not a big deal as long as water is coming out of the filter too.It took almost 30 minutes exactly to run the first tank of water. Not a problem at all. You cannot pour water if there's more than half the tank of water waiting to be filtered. If you do, it'll come out of the top and either mix with the filtered water or spill all over the floor. Be patient. As long as it was less than half full of unfiltered water, I didn't have an issue pouring and keeping the filtered/unfiltered water separate. Also, slow and steady. There's no reason to pour it like a 5 year old.No, this doesn't hold a ton of water at one time. It's not meant to. You'd need a bigger pitcher/system for that. The size is great for what I needed. Once I used some, I added more water to be filtered. Don't run to empty and expect to get water instantly.I actually bought this to take on vacation with me. Went through TSA in my carry-on without any issue. (They did test it at one airport because it set off the liquid warning from being a little moist still. They just use a swab to test it, and let me continue with no fuss.) I filled this up at the airport using the water filling stations then filled our empty water bottles. I wouldn't buy this solely for that purpose, but it worked since I wanted the pitcher to use at our destination. There isn't any smell to the water. The taste is great. We really loved it. Now that we're back home, I keep it in the fridge for colder water during the summer.

Is this a joke??
After waiting a week for the pitcher to arrive I was excited to try it out. Ya know, it's a $100 pitcher and felt a little stupid paying that but if it improves my quality of life, it's well worth it. Started to prime the filter and the bag blew a whole in it, fail. Ok, I don't necessarily need that so I just filled and emptied the pitcher a few times to prime it. The early pour water dam is also a fail as the unfiltered water just pours out the top. When the water is completely filtered and in the bottom receptacle, when pouring the water, the top receptacle starts to fall out. The handle makes squeaking noises when lifting, and I imagine at some point something will break there as the handle moves, fail. The filter improved my water a little bit the TDS is still in the red and there are floaties still in the filtered water. It's going back to the seller because it's not worth the money. It's a nice idea...but they've got a long way to go! I can't believe they're selling this as it is and for $100.
