Worth reading.
I liked the book more than the Hallmark version, and I liked the Hallmark version. The book had so much more dimension, I don't often give 5 stars but I will on this one. Good story line, well developed. The ending is quick and somewhat anticipated, but it fits the story line really well.

A wonderful complement to the Hallmark Channel movie of the same name!
"Time travel" and "belief" teeter-tooter well in this delightfully-warm, magically-lighthearted WorldWar II/present-day-themed romance. Novelist Leigh Duncan has captured, quite nicely, the TV characters from this story, and has brought them to new book life with entertaining and meaningful depth. The main character, "Nurse" Hanna, is presented with such caring uncertainty and love and faith, that her story jumps off of the page , and into your heart from the start. That makes it difficult "not" to want to continue reading. Her "sidekick," Toby, too, steals the scenes in which he is found, by way of both his observations/mentions/tale and the way in which Duncan's tender, connecting story--between these two characters-- reveal what he knows, understands, and sees as "right" for all. But Duncan's "expressive" prose don't stop hooking you in there. Her other secondary characters--although, at times, repeat themselves--are weaved, cleverly, into the plot. Their jealousy, teaching, wonderment, and inquisitive nature all help to bring about maximum benefit--as do the time-travel/character-interaction scenes--where reader understanding for Hanna's plight and story are needed. While Duncan's book is imaginative and fun, it also carries with it more than just a message of Hanna's love for her spouse, family, and friends. This fiction book is also more than just a fluff, contemporary-romance read. It is a tale with an eye-opening lesson, of sorts, wrapped in the "more-than-meets-the-eye" axiom, that can be beneficial for all to "see" and embrace--as we learn in Duncan's heartwarming movie-to-book story here.

A Christmas Journey you won't want to miss!
I'd watched the Hallmark movie, and was curious about the book. The move and book are pretty similar, except in book form you get a more complete and satisfying end for the characters. The book allows for a more detailed description of what happened after Hannah travels back, and what happens to her, beyond that of the vague details in the post card. Highly recommend cuddling up by a fire with some hot coco and reading this book!

I saw the movie a while back. The book is very good, too...both audio and ebook versions.I loved the characters. I wish there was a book about Hannah and her husband's life after the war, too!

As good as the movie was
Glad I bought this house instead of getting it from the library so I can read every year. It does not disappoint and i love being able to act out the story in my head despite how many times I've seen the movie.

Loved it
I watched the movie first and loved it so much I consider it my favourite movie. And now I read the book and loved it just as much as the movie. Great job, Ms Duncan!!

What a journey
I loved this movie from the beginning to the end. I love the actors in this movie. But I love all Hallmark movies, books, mysteries. I love anything about the Hallmark Channels.
