The amazing Handy Impact Shredder
A hard day from 10am to 5.30pm with just a few short breaks transforming my overgrown garden, which, because of health issues had been untouched for nearly 2 years. This machine shredded no end of tough brambles, weeds and grass effortlessly. At times my grandson over filled the hopper and had to use a little force to shred but this brilliant machine dealt with it all. We could never have achieved the above results without it. I was very concerned, and spent a long time reading reviews from all brands which also cost more but I realised when constructing and using it, I’d made the best decision. Everything shredded has left me with just 2 garden bags of fine waste to dispose of which before starting I’d never have believed was possible and the attached box didn’t constantly need emptying. The wheels make easy manoeuvring and cleaning is very easy. I agree with other reviews that it is a little noisy but as my son was using a petrol strimmer at the same time, we didn’t really notice it. Apart from the more expensive “ quiet shredding” models which are mainly for woody growth and chip not shred , I think that all other shredders would sound the same or even louder. My son, who was dubious at first, was so impressed that he now wants to buy this model as well.It comes with 2 year warranty and customer services seem good as well.Definately highly recommended.

Superbly designed!
This is a well thought out design all the way down to the translucent collection box so you can see how much space there is left. The central down flow of cuttings also means the box fills more evenly. That it uses a rotary disc rather than a cog is another advantage and will likely reduce jamming. I say likely because I haven't has a jam yet despite spending a couple of hours shredding heavy cuttings from a pollarded Rowan tree.Having just the week before bought one that was fifty quid more and broke in about half an hour I was greatly relieved this one is superior in every metric. The powerful motor virtually rips the sticks out of your hands and the rubber flaps that cover the cutter disc stop any flying splinters.Easy peasy to assemble, just 4 bolts for the frame and support and and axle bolt for the wheels.Takes longer to read the booklet than assemble and start it.Wider wheel separation leads to stable towing too, my last one was quite narrow and difficult to control. It is very light too, surprisingly so.

Does. It work as a leaf mulcher.
Works well with thumb size branches and shreds it well but does not mulch leaves well. It is also noisy, so using ear defenders is strongly recommended.

Works well and and reasonably priced.
I read lots of reviews before picking this one paid £119 for it. I am very impressed.Chops up leaves, branches with little effort and found it hard to find fault its operation.took me about 10 minutes to assemble with the tools provided.I did expect spare blades but not sure if I read that or not but they are double sided sono problem. The chippings are quite fine and I think will make a perfect addition to the compost heap when mixed with the grass clippings. Was forcing leafy branches though the size restricting holes with no jams whatsoever.I am finding it hard to pull the box out after disengaging the safety catch so just have to give it a pushfrom the other end.A few things that I feel should have been written are some warnings maybe the seller can sort this.1, A better warning to use ear defenders and safety glasses. I did not feel it was too loud but it does get usedfor a long time so better safe than sorry.2, This will pull items to be cut into the machine so you should consider long blanches are going to bepulled in at quite a speed as they are snatched out of you hand. Beware the long prickly brambles. To sum it up a very good machine for the money and would recommend it.

Blunt blades
On first day of use blades blunted and screws holding them in over tightened so could not remove to sharpen or replace, no choice but to return

Home wood chippings
After borrowing the neighbours shredder I had to have my own I love it it’s easy to use it is noisy as expected so you will need ear defenders with this item it shreds really well and makes lovely wood chippings and it means we don’t have to load the car up with tree cuttings anymoreIt comes with lots of safety features as expectedIt’s compact so doesn’t take up lots of room in the garage very pleased with this shredder definitely recommend

A great machine
This is a great little machine. Yes, it’s quite noisy, so if you’re going to be using it for an extended period, then ear defenders should be considered. But other than this, it does a first class job and can cope with some quite hefty material. It’s easy to assemble, easy to use, and given the hard work I put the unit through, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Excellent garden essential
Bought this back in September as a solution to the problem of getting branches from upper garden down several sets of steps and would have been many many trips to the tip. I am absolutely delighted with the outcome especially now self isolating. I can feed twigs/ branches into shredder and then put the chippings as mulch on my beds. I did think I had broken it but realised the bin was full and will not run whilst full or until the box is fully engaged. I found the Handy manual online. Back on shredding for an hour earlier with same impressive results. I’m sure that the Handy would go for much longer but an hour is my limit.
