The Wolves: A Play: Off-Broadway Edition

The play drags until the last scene. The dialogue and topics ring true to life. The teenage girls of the 2010s sound very much like the teenage girls of the 90s, but with different TV shows and . For a reader (or theatergoer) that can't remember their own teenage years or aren't around them now, they may like this glimpse into that world. For me, it droned on without diving much past the superficial. The girls talked over each other (which was certainly one of the points).It was nominated for a Pulitzer, which I can't really understand. It ends strong, though it is emotionally manipulative.

I loved this screenplay, it's raw and it's real. The characters of these young women will leap off the pages and onto a stage somewhere and it will be REAL. Get a good look at the young women because you will see them around you - it's that true to life - REAL.Playing in Toronto, ON, Canada October 9 - 27, 2018 at Streetcar Crowsnest Theatre

This play is such a delight to read even if every character had a different topic of discussion. Good play, great writing, and very athletic.

This play was so amazing at The Duke this past year and I can't wait to see it go to Lincoln Center. A wonderful piece of writing that features strong young women "going to war" in suburban America–through the lens of a high school soccer team. It's truly a force-to-be-reckoned-with play by a force-to-be-reckoned-with playwright. WE ARE THE WOLVES!

The characters are fully realized and it should be just as interesting to watch as it was to read.

Exceptional take on adolescent girls and how they relate in a group.

Frankly I don't see the quality required to be a Pulitzer contender...
