Why did you pick this product vs others?:For small herbs it has created a healthy batch and I enjoy using it and seeing the buds grow! Set up is easy and easy to maintain.

Works great but got fungus gnats. Not the product’s fault. Now I just use the grow light without the moisture option for succulents and they’re growing, so it must be working.

This very compact little seed starter with automatice watering and adjustable timer for lighting is awesome for starting plants from seeds to transplant later into the garden or larger pots. The actual soil planting area is about 5"x5" or 25 square inches. Not much but enough to start about 6 or 8 seedlings. I love that I can go away for a couple days and not have to worry about my seedlings as this unit takes care of the watering and the light. Please don't use the product's phots as a guide to its size, it is TINY! The picture of a ripe tomato plant is obviously photoshopped. There is no way this little planter can grow a plant that big in a 5"x5" area! But at a price point on par with a good quality flowerpot this little wonder is a GREAT seed starterd and is quite attractive on any counter or shelf!

High quality. Love the dirt well. I have multiple hydroponic systems. This is great for direct seed sow. Plants stay warm and sprouted quickly. Fits small areas. My only critique would be, there isn’t a low water indicator light, you have to check the window. But it’s easy to fill.

This is a very small unit. I replanted two basil plants into it that I started in my hydroponic system. I have had to continually water the plant topically and may have to take it out and observe what's happening because it doesn't seem to be using any water from the well. It is dry to touch and the plants are wilting. The light works well, although no where near as bright as my hydroponic systems that it sits between. Both plants are slightly reaching towards the grow lights on either side rather than straight up. I'm not sure I would bother with this one.It would be good for someone who just wants to grow a small plant or herb. Anything bigger will have to be transplanted fairly quickly because the well is very small. The entire container is 6" x 5" and the soil growing area is only about 6" x 3" because of the water underneath.
