⚡DIYers Only: Hope You Like Soldering More Than Music Right Now
Let me start by saying—this is not your average battery swap. If you’re hoping for a quick pop-in replacement, you're gonna be disappointed. This battery for the Bose SoundLink Mini II requires soldering. Like, full-on, “where’s my multimeter and steady hands?” soldering. Bose really did us dirty with this design. Now, as for the product itself: it should be a good replacement. It fits, and the voltage checks out. It’s lightweight (maybe too lightweight?)—so I’m cautiously optimistic the battery holds up over time. It powered up my speaker after the install, which is a good sign. But let’s be real… for something that took this much effort, I really hope it lasts, or I just spent way too much time playing electrician for nothing. If you’re not comfortable with a soldering iron, do yourself a favor and take it to a pro—or at least someone who’s watched a few YouTube tutorials and knows what flux is.For now, I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars, maybe a 4 if it proves reliable in the long run. Hard to rate a battery too high right off the bat when you won’t know if it’s any good until months later.
