We have been through a number of receiver locks for our trucks because we eventually lose the key. Then we found these and have bought exactly one for each truck, because it just uses the truck door key. For anyone who hasn't realized this yet, there's a metal key hidden inside your key fob.So long as you take time to read and follow the directions this lock is easy to set up and almost fool proof. Also, remember to close the plastic flap over the key slot or you'll get road grime jamming up the lock.This style of lock is not the most secure and you can find video of them being popped open in seconds with a pry bar. But this style is very popular and this Bolt lock is as secure as any of this type. If you're going to be leaving your vehicle unattended in a high crime area you might need something stronger but we've found it good enough for many years.

3 years in the salt belt and working great

This lock is matched to the ignition key of the vehicle you match it to when purchasing it. The procedure is straightforward and easy to follow. Insert the key fully, twist and done. It works great!

I was a little apprehensive but this thing is a beast. Key insert worked great and locks/unlocks perfectly. Drove 760 miles from Ardmore TN to Baytown TX pulling a 9K lb trailer trailer without a hitch. (no pun intended 😄). Double the cost of a pin of this requirement from TS or HF, but a valid investment for safety and security when hauling or parking. Time will tell the longevity but I'm happy for now!

Totally worth it. Nothing else compares

Works as described and uses JEEP key which is the reason you should buy this. Less is best and not having to worry about another key is worth the purchase.

These locks are great so that I can use the key for my vehicle and have one less key to worry about. They are also very durable in the winter. Only con is the lock itself is too bulky and blocks use of the chain hook on one side so I cant hook my emergency chain in that spot.
