Good coffee
I bought this to replace my aging model which was 5 years old. It still made good coffee but started leaking around the capsule holder making a mess on the counter.It looks like Dolce Gusto wants to leave the consumer market so I figured I would pick up a new machine and be set for the next 5 years.The coffee is good and very convenient if a bit expensive and wasteful.Still I enjoy the coffee and the machine

I had two of these and I had to send them back
I had two of these coffee makers the first on couldn’t get the water tank off so I sent that back so they sent me a replacement and it work for two days and the button you press for the hot water to work stop working so I sent that one back waiting to get my money back the one thing I can say the coffee was good and had to put the coffee I bought I had to put it in the trash I never had a issues with coffee makers before

First machine defective. But made good on their promise to send another one.
Bought for daughter as gift for Christmas. Now 3 months later put a medium roast pod in only a bit of coffee came out and now pod is locked and handle locked as well. Machine is defective and will not reset at all. Nothing works. Handle locked and pod is locked in. Not a happy customerREVISED - made good on their promise to send another one out. Still believe that this was a good investment. No problems at all with the replacement. Happy camper!!!

Ease of use
I love this machine. This is the 3rd Esparta we have owed. My only reservation is then we had received one with a red cord which we had to return as it began making a terrible noise while brewing. I am hoping this does not occur while using this machine. If it does, it will go straight back to Amazon. I know it shouldn't matter but I really hate the red electrical cord. Talk about being an eye sore, that it is! But if it brews well, we will keep it.

Came inoperable, had to replace
I bought this to replace a near-identical Dolce-Gusto machine I purchased in 2018. That one quit working last week and I bought this one. I went to run it through the start-up cycle and it simply would not process the water through (and I do know how to follow directions). Their number to call if having problems was “experiencing technical difficulties” and was “not able to process [my] call.” Seems quality control and customer service is disappearing. Called again, got through, but the technical support was a nightmare. Returned it and got another next day through Amazon. This one works fine - and I like my 4 year experience with my first unit.Pros: easy to use, and the capsules are clearly less expensive than those for other similar units.Cons: I can only find the capsules through Amazon in the US, and the price and availability fluctuate.

Not Your Mamma’s K
I found out about this excellent coffee machine, like many other reviewers, while visiting Europe and decided I must have one. After much surfing on Amazon I settled on this one and was not disappointed. Great fast coffee. I would put the quality against any coffee shop out there. So addicting I often put it in my vehicle and take my machine on vacation with me.Not the cheapest coffee and not available at your local grocer, but in my opinion is the best and well worth the effort to get an excellent professional grade cup of coffee by ordering the pods online.

Decaffeination?? and Completely unresponsive Customer Service
So let me start out by saying the machine itself is well built and even though we've only had it for a short time, works like a charm. Coffee access is an issue. None of our local stores seem to carry pods. Furthermore, responsiveness from customer service is just a joke, taking days and multiple emails to get a response. We bought the machine to replace the Tassimo. My wife loved the decaffeinated cappuccino but the milk disks almost always exploded and leaked all over the inside of the machine. So far, we've only been able to locate the decaf cafe au lait and the decaf Cortado as alternatives to a decaf cappuccino. I am not sure why coffee companies don't realize the market is vast for people who love the taste of coffee but for medical or personal reasons cannot have caffeine. Perhaps, they will wake up and smell the "decaf" coffee one day.Update: Still having major issues getting a response from customer services. We recently purchased a box of decaf and it is taking a couple of weeks to get to us. I've tried every outlet they mention on their web site including their own and cannot find anywhere to buy online or in stores. They only offer three types of decaf and only one of those is remotely accessible. If I could return this machine I would. I will probably attempt to sell on eBay and look for something else. Customer Service is a joke.
