Best Wrestling Book
My High School didn't have a wrestling team so I never had the wonderful opportunity and experience to gain first hand instruction in wrestling. However as an adult I have been training in Jiu Jitsu and I have been able to incorporate wrestling into my training due to the techniques in this book. I can't say enough about the fantastic detail and explanations in this book. I would say it is a must have for any grappler; regardless of whether we're talking about pure wrestling or submission wrestling.Excellent Book!

THE ONLY WRESTLING/GRAPPLING BOOK YOU NEED
AWESOME BOOK ON FREESTYLE WRESTLING WHICH IS BASED ON CATCH WRESTLING. THERE ARE MANY AWESOME MOVES TO LEARN FROM THIS BOOK. THIS IS THE ONLY WRESTLING BOOK YOU NEED. COMBINE THIS WITH GOOD OLD AMERICAN BOXING AND YOU WILL BE ONE BAD DUDE IN A FIGHT. IF I HAD A FRIEND WHO WAS GOING TO PRISON I WOULD GIVE HIM THIS BOOK ALONG WITH Championship Streetfighting: Boxing As A Martial Art, WHICH WILL TEACH YOU BOXING AS IT WAS ORIGINALLY PRACTICED, AS A MARTIAL ART NOT A SPORT LIKE YOU SEE ON TV THESE DAYS. JESUS IS THE ANSWER :)

Pretty decent book with a lot of ideas in it
Good book with a lot of photography to illustrate what is being said. It would be WONDERFUL if there was a CD or web site access included with it showing the various moves in slow-motion. Most of the moves involve a dynamic use of momentum to pull them off, so seeing them in motion and slo-mo would give a much better idea of the speed and launching position required to execute the moves as statically illustrated by the still photography.

Not for first year wrestlers, but great for experienced ones
If you're in your second or third year (or further), you will easily understand the instructional tips in this book. It does not give beginning to end pictures for each technique, but it gives brief tips to enhance your techniques and to give you more options from each position. Think of this as something to help you perfect or refine those moves and add a bit of variation to your style. This is not for a first year wrestler.
