The liners block light really well
The liners block light really well. I like that the back is white ,like my curtains. It looks good from outside the window. They are simple but not really easy to install. It comes with drapery hooks that are poked through the curtain then hang the liner on those hooks by small loops. The small loops will jump off the hooks when opening the curtain sometimes. I think Velcro patches might work better. They are a medium weight, soft fabric. I would buy them again.

It works so well that our bedroom has dropped 7 degrees! Amazing!!
Moving into a new home we have had some problems with keeping our bedroom cooler than the rest of the house. We purchased a few fans but that still did not help with the bedroom. I really like the curtains we have and did not want to replace them with blackout curtains and was thrilled when I found this item on Amazon. I read all of the reviews and decided to order them and give it a try. If it didn’t work, well then I would try something else. But! It works! It works so well that our bedroom has dropped 7 degrees! It is about 95 to 98 degrees outside and our bedroom was reading at 82 degrees with the air cranked down to 72. Right now our bedroom is at a very comfortable 73 degrees and has stayed under 76 during the day when the sun is beating at the windows. It is really amazing that the room is nice and dark during the day whereas before there was way too much sunlight.I read a lot of the reviews and they really helped me make my purchase and I also bought an extra box of drapery hooks as many people wrote that they wished they had bought more. I did try to pin on the liner to my curtains and it did work out great but I just did not like them because they were not flush with the window and did allow some light to come in. I also read where some people sewed the liners onto their curtains and thought about doing that but then decided to just buy an extra rod and hang the liners behind my curtains and that did the trick. It looks nice, it blocks out the light and heat and they are not permanent to existing curtains.I love how much they work! I still can’t believe the difference it has made and how much it has helped. I am sure our electric bill will be much lower in the months to come. If anyone is considering buying these liners, I would strongly recommend them because hands down they are amazing! Some reviews commented on an odor emitting from these liners and others ones I looked at. I can say that there is no odor at all. They look alot like shower curtains to me and are made of a very sturdy material. They also include velcro so that you can close the curtains shut in the middle. They were worth every penny and I will be purchasing a few more for the rest of the house. I would recommend these to anyone that has a room that is hot due to the sunlight.

Wish they were wider
I have a lot of windows, they are also doubled so I only purchased two packs to check them out. They did come with a bit of a smell but that doesn’t bother me. They are not as wide as a regular curtain panel that is the only draw back. They do not cover the entire width of the window. I purchased these to see if it would help keep the heat in since winter is coming. So I’ll have to update once it starts getting really cold. As of right now I’ll probably purchase for my other windows just wish there was a wider option. Since my windows are doubled I would need a 3rd panel in between just to cover the whole thing

Great value and an effective insulator for your space!
I didn't think these would make that much of a difference...I hung them on a few curtains, to see if they would make a difference in the 100+ degree heat. Yes, they made a difference! I used my hand to check the temperature around the curtains. The heat was trapped between the window and these thermal layers -- but behind the layer, it was cool. I gave a pair to a friend who was dealing with the radiant heat from the sun entering through his bedroom and he seemed happy with these too. I noticed that my energy usage dropped also, according to the energy app!My only criticism is that these barriers are a bit narrow. If they widened them a little, I would be willing to pay a little more. I think they are a great value.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
I purchased two beautiful pleated curtains for my double sliding glass doors that take up a whole wall facing the south (so all day sunlight) in my bedroom (151"), we really wanted something that can block noise (approximately 1 block from a state highway), block light and reduce heat and wanted it up on a traverse rod (so opening and closing could be with ease)! Installed and hung curtains with drapery pins onto the rings above the clips on my traverse rod. They blocked noise perfectly, slight light penetrations, but no heat reduction at all due to the brown backing they actually retained heat. With the heat part being our biggest concern after just a week in use we needed to nip it in the bud prior to summer, so we purchased these eclipse Thermaliner black out reflective white liners. The liners come in small panels, 2 panels per package, it takes 3 panels per sliding glass door, so 6 total for mine. Hung the liners up using the clips that were hanging from the traverse rod, drapery clips are hung in the holes just above them. The string hooks were not strong enough so I hung straight from the material. They land just above my curtains so you cannot see them. Especially love that they velcro together to make it even more seamless, although only 2 will velcro. Recommend the manufacturer adding the opposing velcro to the other sides so when there are more than 2 they can continue to be seamless. It works amazingly for the heat, and an extra barrier to make even more light and sound reductions as well! Just added cost to our overall project but totally worth the money! We are very happy with the final outcome and would definitely recommend!Photos show before and after liner, velcro'd pieces, length, how I hung them on my traverse rod clips, and final project finished.Products used for total project:2 Eclipse 100x84 pleased curtains: Eclipse Curtains Thermal Blackout 100 x 84-inch Polyester Patio Door Curtain Panel, Espresso3 packs of Drapery Hooks (for main pleated curtains): Dritz 44325 Slip On Drapery Hooks, 3-Inch, 14-Pack2 Traverse Rods (installed together): Decopolitan Square Traverse Window Treatment Rod, 72 to 144-Inch, Espresso3 packs of these Blackout liners: Eclipse Thermaliner Blackout Panel Pair, White.
