Intelligently designed cookware that you have to handle with care
I do most of my cooking on the stovetop, and I was due for a new set of cookware. I have a stainless steel and a cast iron skillet, but my sauce pans and pots were all pretty beat up, so it was good timing that led me to discover this set of cookware, and I must say, I am pleased with this product and its performance in the kitchen. There are a couple of small things I don't like, but these complaints are minor. So I'll start briefly with the negative and then move on to the positive.First, I was only afforded the option to order these pots in pink. I am a man, and I am not a huge fan of the color pink. After I had already ordered these I discovered that they are also available in white and black and other colors. Most of the time, when ordering products on Amazon and there are other color or design options, there is a menu and you can click to choose various options, but for some reason, with this company, each color set has its own separate product listing. When I was looking at these pink pots, there was no mention of other color options, which in retrospect kind of galls me. I know this is a minor, nitpicky complaint, so I won't dwell on it. The second thing that bugs me is the holding strength of the removable handles. There are 3 skillet options, plus a sauce pan and a stock pot included with this set, which also includes two removable handles. The larger pot has permanent handles, but the skillets and the sauce pan all use the removable handles. Don't get me wrong, I like the removable handles a lot. In fact, the removable handles are one of the nicest features of this cookware. It eliminates the worry about bumping into it as I walk by the stove or the need to rotate the pan while it's on the burner to make room for other pots or utensils on the stovetop. The removable handle is a great idea and a wonderful convenience. What concerns me is how much weight it can handle. It does great with lighter loads like the bacon in the picture or the sauce pan with a can of vegetables in it, etc., but when moving or draining larger, heavier, amounts of food like fried chicken or the chicken stir fry depicted in the picture, I noticed there was a tiny little bit of slippage. That is, the handle moved a little from the position where I originally clamped it. It didn't fall off or send a skillet-load of food splattering to the floor. It didn't even move very much, but it did move a little, and that concerned me. In the future I will be proceeding with due caution when handling heavier quantities of food using these modular handles, and I would advise anyone using this cookware do the same. Now I'll move on to what I like. As I mentioned, I like the modular handles. There are two included with the set. When you need to drain or move the cookware, you clamp it on, do what you do, and then push the button, pop it off and set the handle aside or lay it on the counter next to the spoons and spatulas. I don't know if this is a new idea, but it's new to me, and I like it. If you order these pots, DO NOT leave the handle clamped on the pot while cooking. The part of the handle that clamps onto the pot is made of some kind of soft material like rubber or silicone, and I don't think it would fare well under prolonged and constant exposure to that kind of heat. I've been using this cookware for almost a month now and there has been no deterioration, deformation or any signs of damage to the handles whatsoever, and I use them almost every day. But I also remove them from the pot immediately when I'm done using the handle. So as long as you're careful, I think they'll hold up fine. The instructions recommend handwashing this cookware, but I haven't been doing that. I wash mine in the dishwasher and they do fine. It's like every product you buy wants you to baby it. Handwash, air dry, yadda, yadda. To hell with all that crap. Life is too short for all that. Just put them in the dishwasher, it'll be fine. The pots themselves are made of aluminum. In this regard they are no different than any other set of nonstick metal cookware you might buy, but the ceramic surface is new to me. I was cautious, having learned the dangers of teflon and other nonstick cookware, but after doing some research I learned that ceramic cooking surfaces are relatively safe, and handle the heat well. So I took the plunge, and I must say, they're nice. Nothing sticks to these pots and pans. They distribute the heat evenly across the cooking surface, and they clean up easily. The skillet that the literature refers to as a grill (the squarish one with the bacon in it in the pictures) is especially nice. I like the larger size. This is my foremost complaint with most standard skillets. They are too small. This grilling skillet is wide. It's not very deep, but if you're frying chicken or cooking hamburgers or pork steaks, ordinary skillets simply aren't big enough. They don't offer enough actual cooking surface. Also, if you'll look at the picture you'll see that the grease from the bacon all drains off to the edge of the pan and as the food shrinks from cooking you can move it to the middle, so your food isn't cooking in a bath of grease or oil. This feature isn't mentioned in any of the product descriptions that I read, but it says to me that whoever designed this cookware was intelligent and thoughtful. The grilling skillet also has little ridges that run along the bottom of the pan which helps to prevent sticking. The set also includes a high-sided skillet that aspires to be a wok that works great when you're preparing a hamburger helper or some kind of stove top recipe that requires a lot of stirring. You do have to be careful not to use metal utensils or any kind of harsh abrasives on these when using or cleaning these pots. The ceramic surface can be scratched or damaged. I don't know how easily, because I've been careful with mine, but this should be common sense stuff. The ceramic coating is affixed to a metal pan, so you will want to use due caution to not use your barbecue utensils or to clean it with brillo pads. The set comes with an assortment of felt inserts that you use when stacking the pans. You should use these. It will keep them from getting scratched or damaged in storage when you're rummaging around in your cabinets, but if you treat these pans well, I think they could last a long time. These pots are designed for performance, and will be durable, as long as they are properly cared for.

Exceeded my expectations!
If I could give this 23 piece ceramic pots and pans set from BECIGAR 10 stars, I would! Rarely have I bought anything that blows me away, but this set did. Whoever thought of detachable handles, is a genius. This set comes with 2 detachable handles that you simply place anywhere on the pot or pan and click into place. They attach very firmly and don't move until you detach them with a click of the button. Because the handles are detachable, they alll nest inside each other so that when you store them, they only take up as much space as the one 11" grill pan. Also, you can use them as serving dishes once you detach the handles which is brilliant. The set includes 8" and 10" fry pans, an 11" square grill pan, a 1.6 quart 7" pot that comes with a hard lid for the fridge, a 4.3 quart 9.5" casserole, a 2.7 quart 10" saute pan, ang 10" and 9.5" glass lids with silicone rims. Also included is a 5 piece silicone utensil set with wood handles and a silicone holder for them, a sponge plus a screwdriver to put the handles that are not detachable on the casserole dish and the knobs on the 2 lids. But wait, there's more! I was looking at the user guide and noticed that it said to maintain the surfaces, pot and pan protectors should be used and I was going to go on Amazon to look for some until I realized that they included those too as well as a sponge to clean the pots and pans. They have really thought of everything! I have cooked scrambled eggs and an omelet in both the 8" and 10" pans and they cooked perfectly. I wasn't sure how mushrooms and onions would cook but they came out beautifully caramelized just the way I like them. They also clean up extremely easily. They can be used on gas, electric, induction and ceramic stoves. They are both lightweight but seem very durable at the same time. I can't speak to the longterm durability, but right now this set has exceeded my expectations and I absolutely love it. Very highly recommended!

Easy Storage, Good Looking, Lightweight. Easy to attach and detach handles.
First time having a set with detachable handle which makes storage really nice. The space utilization is excellenct compared to previous sets. I was a little concerned when I had the large saute pan filled while using only one handle. It did stay attached and could carry the full pan, BUT I simply attached the 2nd handle which is part of the positives with this set and was no longer concerned. With both handles attached I could stagger the handles so I could easily pour from the pan into a glass baking dish - then once it was mostly emptied - I detached one handle to get out of the way and could now hold it with one hand while using a spatula in other to completely empty the pan. This made it so convenient and now realize the benefits of detachable handles that I never thought of before. I cannot attest to long term durability but the set looks great and held up really well after first couple uses - and with the cost and easy storage - I am so impressed with this system. I am still slightly concerned to long term durability of the handles since this is such an important aspect of this set - but they seem well made and replacements are easily purchased if need be. I have already removed my older set of pans etc and this has created more available storage space and will be my goto pots and pans moving forward. For the cost - this is a highly recommend!
