Desert boot - revolutionary. In 1950, the Clarks Desert Boot set off a chain of events that has resulted in a rich lineage of unconventional rebel shoes - each one bearing the maverick DNA of its forefather.

Clarks Originals Desert Boot, men's Lace-Up-Dark Brown
Bought for my 16 year old son who already has a pair of black desert boots from a different manufacturer as cheaper. These were actually cheaper than Clarks's normal going rate so excellent value ,arrived quickly . Big difference in the quality , look better quality suede and stitching and more importantly have a better foot shape (not as pointed at toe) so improved look and more comfortable .

Classic desert boots.
I'm normally a size 10 and bought a 9.5 with these.Any larger and they would be too big as I have experienced before with Clarks desert boots. They are very comfortable and I expect them to mould into my feet even more in time.As far as a protective spray for them i'd went into a Clarks shop to get two cans of their own brand.I used pretty much all of one can and not waiting for them to dry between coats.Just make sure you do it outside or a very well ventilated area.It never seemed to affect the colour.Very pleased.

As nice as they are I wouldn't recommend walking in them ...
As nice as they are I wouldn't recommend walking in them for a long time. The thin sole at the front did hurt my feet after awhile. That being said they do look nice

Awesome Classics - Highly Recommended
these are awesome timeless classics - Ive just ordered another pair as they are my fave choice of footwear. Love them in Cola colour ! There's a great back story to how these desert boots went into production as well. - highly recommended. PS I usually take a 10 in footwear but 9.5 uk in these is perfect.

Love them, or you'll hate them!
Well, a clarks' boot is always a great classical. No mid ways, you should love it to buy, cold in winter, hot in summer, thin and slippy outsole, easy to ruin upper...but... it fits like a glove, you can wear all day long without fatigue or pain.excellent service to italy, this boot wears half to one size tighter, so it's recommended to get a size larger, depending by feet shapePS: one star less just for "made in vietnam" stamp!

Very comfortable and well made
I've found these boots to be really comfortable. I always have a pair of desert boots and these did not disappoint. Well constructed and easy to slip on. The boot is quite broad in the widest part of the foot, so something to be aware of if you have a narrow foot. Due to the two hole lace it may be more difficult to tighten beyond a certain point.

Ignore description don't buy a larger size
These boots are great and have a real premium feel. The stitching is excellent and they feel like decent quality shoes. The only problem is in the description it says to buy half a size larger than normal due to how they make the boots. Don't do that. I did, I'm usually a 10 so duly bought a 10.5 and guess what, it was half a size too big.Fortunately Amazon's returns process is so easy but it is still extra hassle you could do without.

Sizing issues
Clarks seem to have changed their sizing practice since I bought my previous pair of these boots a few years ago. I usually take a size nine UK or 43 European, which was the measurement on the previous pair (which I still use). The size nine in the current product is too long for comfort and the size eight and a half, which I have now bought, is long enough but really rather narrower than I should prefer. I persuade myself that it will stretch in use. Suggest anyone buying should order two sizes to get best fit. A somewhat disappointing experience - I'd expect Clarks to do better. I imagine these situations arise as a result of outsourcing production.
