Don't bother with any other brand. This is the one you want.
Don't bother with any other pads. These aren't flimsy or filled with weird fluff or prone to tearing like all the others. These are the best.I have an old cat in renal failure. And lately, he's been having trouble making it to a litter box. The answer? These pads! Renal failure means that the cat pees - a lot! Not just often, but more volume than a normal cat. I take these pads, fold them in half and stick them in shallow-sided litter boxes (well, these -http://smile.amazon.com/Rubbermaid-Commercial-FG330600CLR-Food-5-gallon/dp/B000VAOCDU/ref=pd_sim_sbs_328_4?ie=UTF8&dpID=310q8jGrjGL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=03F7VC8JKA18NNWK81R5 , but they work great for him because they're very sturdy and heavy). So now the cat has "litter boxes" with pads around the place that he can get to quickly and use without worry or embarrassment (no wet feet for him and I don't have to clean up puddles). With the XL pads folded in half, even if he pees on the edge and it runs under the pad, it still gets absorbed and there's no puddle under the pad to deal with later. My mom was visiting and noticed that the cat had just used one of his pads - she asked if she could change it for him and I told her where the new ones were. She (a nurse) unfolded one and said, "Wow! These are better than you get for people at the hospital!" Hey, only the best for my old cat.Expensive? Yeah, a bit. But you're getting quality for your money. AND this company stands by their product - when I had an issue (a few pads not manufactured properly in the pack), I let them know and they IMMEDIATELY jumped to make things right. No hesitation, no quibbles. Just excellent customer care.I don't know how long my cat plans to stay in this world, but as long as he does, I'll be buying these pads. And they'll be my go-to pads from now on whatever needs may come in the future. (I've already used them for some caged foster kittens who were having poop issues and tracking it everywhere - these fit perfectly in the bottom of a Critter Nation cage and they made clean up SO MUCH EASIER for my messy little kittens on their litter box level!)

Large pad that does'nt leak
The pads are nice quality and a nice size. some of the pads I've used in the past the paper separated from the plastic and the stuffing falls out. These don't they hold together. But my dog likes to pee on the edge which didnt solve my problem. I would like it if the company put the scent to trigger the pet to pee in the center of pad to help our dogs go in the right place.

Buy these now!
These potty pads are the best on the market, period. They are large and absorb well and not sure how but it doesn't smell as bad when you use these pads. My Jack Russell is 16 and can't always hold it so these are a life and carpet saver. I order them all the time and will continue to.Update: 6/3/15 - continue ordering these potty pads, love them still. Have bought other brands which are more expensive and these are by bar the highest quality. I like that they are larger in size and the urine doesn't bleed through the backing, so the backing stays dry. It's perfect for use on the floor, but also on the couch, etc. I put the potty pad down, two blankets on top, that way if she has a mistake (it happened once already) it won't ruin the couch or call for a professional cleaning. You just throw away the pad, wash your blankets and you're set.

Buying again
I have used a lot of potty pads, and I am now reordering these. They are a good size, so I only have to use one, and they are sturdy. I am sure they ar very absorbent, but for some reason I am always finding moisture underneath the pad when I pick it up. Potty pads in general may be a mistake in dog training, but these are as good or better than others I have tried, and bigger!

Old dogs CAN learn new tricks (eventually)
My dog has recently developed diabetes - while he is doing very well, one side effect of this disease is that it causes an increased need to urinate. This can sometimes lead to accidents. My dog is 12 years old, and though he was never punished or scolded for any accidents (since it wasn't his fault!), he always acted very sad when he did have one. He didn't have them often (we take him out for a walk every three hours), but he has an accident about once a week. We bought these puppy pads in the hopes of giving him a place where he could go without feeling ashamed. At first it looked like it wasn't going to work - he actively avoided the pads. However, four months later, he's finally decided to try them, and they work great! They are very absorbent and contain the smell of the urine. I would highly recommend them for use with dogs of any age! :)

After testing several options - these are the best I've found.
After trying a handful of other products, these are by far the best quality "puppy pads" I have found, for 3 key reasons.1) It's pretty well described in the pictures, but these are large! I cannot tell you the number of times that I found that my previous selection of puppy pads was just a hair too small - the dog just missed the pad. Haven't had that issue with these.2) They hold a large amount of liquid. It might be overkill for most, but I'm my case, I have a 5 month old, 60 lb great pyrenees puppy that occasionally has to stay inside on a rainy day. Being trained to pee on these pads when she was much smaller, she's capable of overwhelming other puppy pads today. I haven't seen this pad fail to stand up to the heavy usage my dog puts it through.3) Saving the best for last, this can't be overstated. They don't leak! It seems like every other puppy pad I have purchased gets overwhelmed by some amount of liquid and then leaks through the "non-cloth" layer at the bottom. While that means I don't have to clean up a puddle, I'm still left with urine on the floor. These have been amazing at keeping the urine in and not leaking through.Unless they invent a self cleaning or self replacing indoor puppy pad - this will be my go to. 5 stars.
