Works just like the original!
Old igniter just wasn't working right, so it was time to refurbish the bbq. Got new burners, igniter kit, knobs and flavorizer bars. Installing the igniter was a matter of unscrewing the plastic nut on the front of the control panel, slipping out the igniter and inserting the new one. Since I was also replacing the burners, I replaced two of the four igniters also. Easy job, especially if you aren't replacing the wires. Pull the wire off (not the colored rectangular fitting) and then push the new one on. One weird thing is that the igniter kit had two yellow wire igniters, but the old igniter and the new igniter only had one yellow fitting...not sure why, and it didn't seem to matter. This one has a AA lithium battery, and I will replace it with the same...way better than an alkaline battery. Was a bit expensive, but felt that it provided safety and function like the original and don't want to trust my safety to an off brand. Turn on the gas, hit the igniter, and it lights almost instantaneously. Perfect!!! As a note, the negative end of the battery faces out. Took a look through the instructions to figure that out. Not sure it matters, however.

Perfect replacement.
The igniter kit was a perfect replacement. Installing it is not simple due to the deconstruction of the grill that is required to put the kit in place, but the kit itself is well made and well marked. It has worked great since installation.

Everything included fits perfectly
This kit matches perfectly. If you look at some YouTube videos people just change the module and not the burner electrodes that come in the kit. My Genesis is 10 years old and decided to just go change everything. Easy peasy nothing to it. Works great!

Works
Although expensive like all Weber parts the instructions were clear and the parts fit. Works like it should.

Improved from last time
I went to write a review of this igniter kit and found that I was editing the review I'd written in 2016, the last time I replaced the igniter. (I don't write a lot of Amazon reviews, so interesting that I decided to do so twice.)In 2016, it came without wires or instructions. This purchase was a complete kit that allowed me to replace the entire set up to ignite each burner. That was quite a bit more work than last time, but even so I think this took me about an hour and certainly would have been quicker if I'd known exactly what I was doing. The instructions were generally very clear -- they used drawings rather than words for almost every part of the instructions, but did a really nice job of this. We got the grill assembled when we first purchased it, so I didn't realize how easy it would be to remove the cover and doors. This had me overestimating the amount of time the replacement would take. If this lasts another five years, I have no complaints.----------May 2016 review:As others have commented, this came without instructions or wires, so it wasn't a complete kit. Also, my grill has the igniter on the left side of the front panel, and there were some suggestions on the Web that with that setup you need to essentially take the grill apart to replace the igniter. However, all I needed was the device itself. The existing wires were fine. I removed the thin metal panel that runs just below the igniter and the various gas control knobs (required taking out two screws and then sliding out the panel), at which point removing the old igniter was trivial. The wires are color coded: removed them from the old igniter and attached to the new one. Wasn't sure which way the battery went (instructions would be nice!), and so it took a second try at inserting the battery before it worked. All in all, took about ten minutes (getting the panel back in and lined up took a few minutes) and was easy even without instructions. Still, I'm taking a star off for the lack of instructions and the lack of promised (though unneeded) wires.

Exact replacement for original
The igniter on my 12 year old Genesis model 330 died, and this kit brought the grill back into full working order. It's a little pricey, but much cheaper than a new grill, and it's satisfying that some products are still well made and worth repairing. Instructions are largely step by step line drawings, but very well done and easy to follow.
