Sorayama Masterworks

I LOVE this book! I've been a fan for years and have each of his previous books, as far as I know. Occasionally, I'll see a title that, I'm guessing, was only released in Japan. Anyway, this book is fantastic. It was exactly as I had hoped. As far as I can tell, none of the art has been cropped for whatever strange editorial reasons. The binding and paper are of very high quality. And the printing looks SHARP. Although many images are scaled down severely so that several images can fit on one page, I don't hold that against the publisher. There are SO MANY pieces represented that to show all of them even to a quarter page each would push the book beyond reasonable thickness and price.I highly recommend this book and will be giving several copies as gifts this year. I hope that one day they will reprint this in an oversized edition. His work definitely deserves a larger format.

Never thought I would get to own this book, I must’ve been the last person to get this at an expensive but reasonable price compared to what its worth now. I feel lucky honestly. Must own for any Sorayama fan!

A very well printed book with so many images of Mr. Sorayama's work it is also overwhelming. Some of the images are quite small - which I find a bit insulting as all are equally important. Maybe it would have been wiser to bring this out in two volumes to give all of his work equal space. I have loved his work for years and am always interested to see what he will think up next.

For anyone familiar or collecting compiliations of Sorayama's works, this is a good addition. The works are reproduced in brilliant color and give an excellent of his craft and talent. Some of the prints are small, but still visible to appreciate the detail. To put all the prints in full size on a single page, the book would have been massive, because the works are so numerous, one can appreciate the sheer volume and talent as well in his work.

This is an Awesome collection of Sorayama's work over 440 pages of beautifully rendered figures. This is a great book to study female anatomy. It also has a lot of different figure poses to study. Overall if your a fan of his work this is a great book to add to the collection and you can't beat the price of $30.

This is a good one. Tons of high quality pictures of his work. I've browsed it lots of times for my own creative inspiration. The only down side to this work is that some pictures are printed too small--smaller than baseball card size. Aside from that, it's pure gold.

An excellent, comprehensive collection of Sorayama's art works, featuring his original works, commissions, Hustler art, and his famous sexy robots, among other interesting designs, with other artists and designers chipping in with essays on how they feel about Sorayama, what he did for them, and how he inspired them.
