Durable, long lasting patches
My husband wears a Guardian 4 sensor for his diabetes. This patch has been overall the best & better costing patch he's found on prime. He's tried 2 other kind & as soon as he tried this one, he hasn't changed it. He's even subscribed to it so it automatically sends. When he showers it gets wet but gets dry fairly quickly. He's worn another patch before that would get really soaked & but dry as fast. It does not fall off or peel off. He works out at the gym, sleeps in it, showers with it, wears clothing over it & he's never had any issues. He's a Deputy Sheriff & has been in my situations with it. This patch lasts!

I was skeptical about this product; boy was I wrong!
I use the Medtronic Gaurdian 3 sensor and always hated the clear adhesive patches that they provide with the product. After wearing the Medtronic patches for a week, peeling them off would not only hurt, but would irritate my skin leaving it red, rashy and stinging. I HATED the tape and thought it was something that I would just have to suck up and deal with. It would make me self conscious when taking off my shirt in front of people, too. Red, rashy and stinging skin is a small price to pay for having my blood sugar under control, right? I also hated that the Medtronic tape would leave a residue on my skin and sensor that I was only removable with rubbing alcohol and lots of elbow grease. I came across Simpatch and put off buying it for months thinking it was the same type of product Medtronic provided that would leave my skin in a less than desirable condition after use. BOY WAS I WRONG. I finally ordered Simpatch and was beyond surprised that my skepticism about the product was absolutely incorrect. I’ve worn Simpatch a couple of times throughout the last few weeks and I’m ecstatic to say that my skin does not get irritated from the adhesive nor does it leave a nasty residue that is only removable with rubbing alcohol. It’s a bit tricky to get on since the backing doesn’t necessarily come off easily at the perforations. Once I got the application technique down I have zero issues with it. If there is any residue left behind by the Simpatch, it easily rubs off using my fingers. I know there’s a product to apply pre-adhering the patch to help with this, but I’ve not found it personally necessary to use as this product is fabulous on its own. I would HIGHLY recommend Simpatch to anyone struggling with the same issue I’ve outlined in this review. Thank you Simpatch!

Great product for insulin pump sensor users
These are great for holding my Medtronic sensor down. I use skin tac with it. I'm going to buy these again to use to hold my insertion site for my pump. These hold my sensor so well that I'm going to try them on my sites since I sweat them off in the humidity of the South.

So glad I found these!
These are absolutely perfect to use with my Guardian 4! They hold my sensors in place very well and are really easy to use. I love that they do not leave all the sticky residue on my arm or the transmitter like the ones from Medtronic. They are very easy to remove from my arm and the transmitter-they peel right off. These look better and I feel like they help make the sensor less noticeable. It would be great if Medtronic provided something of this caliber with their sensors but until then, I will continue buying these. They are worth every penny!

Works well but Leaves a lot of residue
This is a great and durable piece of tape that doesn’t make the censor looks so big. The only problem I have with it is the residue it leaves behind can be a pain to get off. Isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) works very well to get the residue off but still can be a struggle depending where you place the censor.

Incredible Product
To be honest about SimPatch.....LIFE SAVER!!!! I have tried every patch on the market and all of them never lasted me 7 days in the condition your patch looks after 7 days. (Above photo is after 7 days)SimPatch looks as good the 7th day on me as the first day I put it on. Thank you for such a quality product. I post it on Metronic sites that are designed to help other diabetics with questions about how to improve the quality of life with CGM’s and I post your product as my #1 reason for my success with NEVER losing a sensor before it’s time to replace it. In the very beginning I lost sensors after 2 or 3 days. Now, 7 days without any issues. And my job is hard on the body. I sell cars and getting in and out of cars 10/12 times a day that are 140 degrees inside, sweating, hitting the patch on mirrors and seat belts happens every day and all the other patch’s fell off. Amazing product.I recommend this product and swear by it. I can put my sensor in and patched in 4 minutes or less. Amazing. Using an adhesive and blow dryer works even better.Andrew

Exactly what I needed
These are excellent patches to use with a Guardian 4 or similar CGM.They are a nice breathable cloth. The hole in the patch is the right size for this type of CGM unit. It securely covers the unit, but it leaves enough room for my finger to hold the unit down while peeling up the patch. They are of a generous size, covering the unit completely with .5-1.25" on each side beyond. I will sometimes even trim one side down slightly before (or sometimes after) applying, because the hole is not right in the middle so one side has more sticky space than the others. I usually just leave it as-is, but I will trim it if I put my unit too far down the back of the arm so it gets on the more sensitive soft skin that goes kind of underneath the arm there. I admit, it irritates that soft skin there a bit, but my skin is rather sensitive. It gives me no problems further up on the arm.I can apply this one handed with little issue. Practice a few times and it will get easier to make it nice and flat with one hand. The back peel off cover is split into 3 pieces that should be pulled apart before applying. Go with the middle first, then do each edge. They stick very well once they are on. I wear them for a week at a time, and I'm certain they would last longer. I usually have to use some baby oil to get them started peeling, but once you get one area to let go it's not too difficult pulling the rest off. I recommend going slowly. These are the best patches I have found so far for the G4. Will buy again.
