MATLAB For Dummies

As with most Dummies books, this does help understand the product. But, also as always, there is nothing like what you have to do to get to Carnegie Hall: Practice, Practice, Practice.But, I do recommend that if you're not going to take a formal class, try this.

As good and easy to follow as I expected it to be. A great resource, even for the Ph.D. level class I am taking.

Like most "Dummies" books, "MATLAB for Dummies" makes a suitable and valuable starting point. And like most "Dummies" books, it contains several mistakes -- that just means that you must keep your wits about you, and treat the book as a set of guided exercises for you to perform and see what really works. Worth getting (I got the Kindle edition).From here I would like a more comprehensive and systematic technical reference. I usually look to O'Reilly Media for that, but oddly they do not publish anything on MATLAB.

Good synopsis of MATLAB for an experienced engineer or analyst new to using MATLAB for work settings. Discusses the fundamentals for using MATLAB software.

Not a lot of content. Also content is deeply buried in over explanation.

The features within Matlab are totally mind boggling. This little book gets you up and running fast. IN short it lets you get on with the job at hand rather than spend an inordinate amount of time learning how to operate a program. Kudoos for Dummies

Bought this for my son. Was very helpful!!

Bought this to get an idea for Matlab before I take the intro class this semester. I got about halfway through and feel way better about the subject.
