Great scale and fun build

Fit and finish are above average. Relatively easy to assemble.

I was stationed on Momma Nimitz when I was in the Navy, so I had to get the model; especially since its decommision is coming up. With that being said, a lot of the pieces are very poorly made and have had to 3D print a ton of new pieces. Also, if you were on there any time in the last 10-15 years, you're going to want to get the different aircraft upgrades if you're going for authentic to your time. I gave it 4 stars because even though I have to remake a lot of pieces it's still a great blue print for what is needed and it's a great size. The price isn't too bad considering the work that goes into it. Really,. the only con is quality of the product; and it's not so bad that you couldn't just build it with the pieces that came with the kit. Overall, I'd still highly recommend the kit over any other one out there. Trumpeter is a great brand.

This is the as delivered Nimitz, but it is a good representation. There is after market detail available if you want to make this a stand out model as it is large. Can be displayed as a full hull or as a waterline representation. You will probably want to order additional aircraft for this kit to better fill the flight deck.
