This hot roller set worked really good. The rollers are soft and doesn't pull on the hair when taking the rollers out. But the clips doesn't stay on the rollers very tight so I got 2 packages of goody claw clips 3 prong size and they worded great on holding the rollers in place until it was time to take the rollers out.

These are legitimately old-school rollers. These ARE your grandma's tried and true set. 👍 I am terrible at doing my hair... I wash it, toss in mousse and sometimes just tussle it with my hands until dry or occasionally ill use a defused but I am not the 'stand here and do this until I look on point, on fleek, on live..' whatever. I infact go days without anything being done to my hair because it's usually a bun on my head.I washed my hair and added some light weight styling products and waited until it was about 90% dry and I begun rolling... Of course the new dog goes nuts, scares the cat and the cat sets the entire set cascading across my vanity and floor, GREAT START. I was upset thinking the heat was gone in them I'd have to wait another half hour for them to heat... Nope. Just put then back in and about 2 min later they were hot again. Once the UNIT is hot you're good to toss them back in for like a min and they can roll. So I stumbled and parted my hair like a 6 year old child, I used to much hair in some and wrapped a small tiny few hairs on a roller.. Basically.. I looked like boo boo the fool trying to get my thin tiny bit of hair wrapped up but I did it. I promise PROMISE PROMISE.. if I can wrap these in my hair, you can too. The pins DO WORK if you insert them correctly (there are videos of how to do that but honestly the trick is making sure the FLAT side or non curved side of the pin is the side you slide against your scalp and USE THE RIGHT COLOR PIN (some of yall used the big fuscia roller pins for the small white rollers talking bout the pins don't work- speaking of boo boo the fool, use the pin right and it WORKS ladies, stop acting like user error is the reason something isn't working). Like I said look at how flat my hair normally is and the amount of crazy volume and bounced curls I got from a 45 min setting. I just threw my bonnet over the set and vacuumed the house then did my makeup and by the time I was done they were ready to come out. It took about 15 minutes to roll my hair once I got the pin down. Another tip for the pins.. if when you put the pin on the roller and the roller doesn't stay (drops down or starts to sag) FLIP THE PIN And use the flat side to lay adjacent to your scalp as you push the roller firmly into the pin the flat slide is what keeps it tight to your head. There... that is all I know and the extent of my curling knowledge now lays with you. Hence you shall go forth on your curling experience and get the result I did or you might want to check a few videos (I did, I won't lie, this was my first time putting rollers in and I never knew how to do it properly, still don't but I know how to do it and get it done now)So..enjoy. they are worth the price.

I returned to a product that was hot a number of years ago. It works great with my shoulder link Hair. My only problem is the attachments. I did try the combs (bought independently as suggested by another user)which do seem to hold a bit more snug.

I purchased this brand because it was similar to another I've used 5 years. A local store had the same price howeverthe curlers did not have the nice velvet covers, essential if you don't want to heat up your fingers. The velvet keeps theplastic curler from slipping out of your hair also. The item was packaged well with no damage. There is an instruction booklet with an online warranty address you may fill out. This curler set and the plastic box are lightweight and take up less room on the vanity that previous brands I've used. Unless you need Big curlers the three sizes that come with these are adequte for medium length and thicker hair. I use a thermal styling spray (half water added) with the curlers and they hold in place just fine. I do not use the wire holders; I prefer plastic clips you can buy at the beauty supply store or online.

Doesn't get hot enough. The red dot never turned white. Maybe I should check into that but the curls didn't hold. Ive got semi wavy hair and they should've curled. Its super cute though and the colors are cute but it just doesn't get to that high of heat.

I am a first time hot-roller user, who never mastered the curling iron. I used foam rollers when I was a teenager, so I thought these might work better for me. The box took about 20 minutes to heat up. (You can tell because there is a colored spot on one of the rollers, which changes when hot.) The velvet rollers were easy to roll up in my hair. I did not burn my fingers, which is kind of impressive given my track-record with curling irons. I also didn't bother with the J pins. I used some $10 clips and they worked great! (Close short teeth on bottom/long teeth on top. You'll see what I mean.) Then I let them sit in my hair for 10 minutes. There were Big BEAUTIFUL CURLS. And I didn't even have to use a curling iron or lose a night's sleep. LOVE.

Love these, what an improvement from my set from the 80s, much lighter. Wish they offered in a set with all large curlers. Use these several times a week and so far noticed no damage to ends of hair. Would buy again without hesitation.

These rollers heat up great the only reason for 4 star is because they are a lot smaller, so if you have lon hair these are not for you. My hair is just at my shoulder top
