Q: Where is this knife made?

For 20 bucks not made in Germany!

Q: Would this cut watermelon?

Yes. It's the only knife I use. It easily cuts thru watermelon and removes the rind so fast, it feels like I'm fileting the fruit. It's the same with other melons, oranges, and apples too.

Q: I don't understand the product demensions 3.5xi1x15.8 in. What is 3.5 inches? I got 1 inch wide blade 15.8 inches over all length.

The dimensions in the product list are wrong. Only a child could hold a 3.5 inch handle! The dimensions in the pictures are perfectly clear. The blade is about 8", the handle is about 5" and the whole knife is a little over 13".

Q: Does this knife cut through soft bread without crushing it?

Yes. I think it's serrated AND sharp, and the combination of the two make it a good choice for soft breads. You have to saw through the bread without pushing downward very hard, though.
