This is one of my favorite prenatal brands and i often recommend this one to my clients as well as take it myself. It has methylated and bio available forms of vitamins, including methylfolate, as well as an easy on the stomach bio available form of Iron. It also has choline, a huge need during pregnancy for infant brain development, lutein, and DHA (also brain development here). This prenatal covers all bases well and the coating has a pleasant taste that does not aggravate morning sickness in my experience. There are also no yucky after taste/belching issues that can be a problem for pregnant women with slow digestion, especially in the first and 3rd trimesters. The singe packaging also makes it very easy to know if you've taken your dose for the day (easy to forget with mom brain!) And I feel it keeps the vitamins very fresh. Highly recommend!

This one is a top grade supplaments! It's vegan and kosher, and the packaging is gorgeous! The vitamins each come in protective blister packs, but pop out easily. I love that it has DHA. It has such a nice balance of important vitamins, that it works great as a support for women who aren't pregnant too, as a 1-a-day instead of the recommended 2. PSA: if you're taking the full dose for 3+ months while not pregnant, consider getting a vitamin panel blood test to ensure that all your vitamins are within normal limits. No weird aftertaste. I'll reorder!

I'm using this prenatal for my second pregnancy. It is a lot more complete with higher percentages of the vitamins and minerals I need as a mom-to-be on a plant-forward diet, including choline, folate (preferred over folic acid), pantothenic acid, vitamin B-12, magnesium and zinc. During my first pregnancy I had to take several different pills to fulfill my nutritional needs. This time the Zahler DHA+ had me covered (with the exception of additional iron I needed for anemia). Therfore with less pills per day I would say these are a good value.They are easy to swallow and usually don't leave me with an aftertaste. On rare occasions I've had a bitter after taste come up but that has been on mornings when I've taken this without eating anything and skipped breakfast altogether.I would definitely recommend these to other expecting and lactating moms for prenatal and post natal health for both moms and babies.

I spent a LONG time researching vitamins for the best formulation for the health of my and baby for pregnancy and breastfeeding. I even made a spreadsheet and ranked them all best to worst. This prenatal came out the best of all the18 vitamins brands that did not require 8 pills a day. It includes all your major vitamins, plus some a lot of vitamins don’t include like DHA, Choline, and biotin. I do take an extra choline supplement on days I don’t eat any eggs, but 55mg can be a nice bump up to where you need to be. You do see magnesium, zinc, copper, selenium, manganese, chromium, and molybdenum in some prenatals, but not all, so I love that this formula has all of the above. The vitamin A is 1/2 Retinyl Palmitate and 1/2 beta carotene - most formulas are all beta carotene which your body has to convert to retinyl palmitate, so this is the more easily digestible version. You don’t want 100% retinyl because vitamin A can be pretty easy to get from your diet and can be easy to intake to much. All of the other vitamins are also in the easily digestible forms- folate, the B vitamins, and iron. I love this vitamin has both vitamin K1 and K2 which can be hard to find, both are important for baby and mom. And the high vitamin D makes this formula even better! Most woman in the US are vitamin D deficient. I have definitely noticed an increase in energy since switching to this prenatal which is saying a lot because at 8 months pregnant, I pretty much have no energy lol. I love this vitamin has DHA as well which is soooo important for baby’s brain development, however I wish it did include EPA as well and it does have a slightly off putting taste and smell a lot of DHA supplements have. I wish it had a better coating and I probably would not have been able to stomach this at the height of my morning sickness. But taken with a glass of juice or tea you can barely tell. That is my only negative about this vitamin, all in all a great formulation, especially with only 2 pills. A lot of comparable vitamins had 4 or even 8 pills! I wish they had the option for a bottle instead of pill packs as well as they can be noisy and sometimes I take them at night before bed which bothers my husband. Positives definitely outweigh the negatives, worth the money for sure!

After comparing back to back prenatals and recommended doses to prepare for a pregnancy and during a pregnancy, this brand is the only one that meets all recommended key supplements and quantity of each. I used this for my first pregnancy and loved and and continued using it during breastfeeding. I never get nauseous with this even taken on an empty stomach. I really can’t say enough good things about this supplement! It’s one of a kind in quality and unmatched by any other brands!

Smooth and easy to swallow, no bad taste or feeling. Been taking before, during, and after birth. Only thing is that it doesn't have enough choline per my obgyn and I needed to supplement with a separate pill while pregnant.

Great product! Been using it for 2 years now (continued after giving birth). No side effects, no bad smell, and easy to take. I highly recommend this product.
