I usually wear a size 12, depending on the brand. I wear size 11 Converse All-Stars and based on other reviews, I bought a size 11 and they fit just fine. The construction is ok, better than I had expected, but the brown is just paint over black material as you'll see after a few days of wearing them as it wears off from the tread. There is a bit of a synthetic materials smell to them but not like some people have commented. The smell didn't hit me until I opened the box and pulled them out, I left them on my floor for a couple days, they didn't stink up the house or even the room, and within 2 days there seemed to be no smell unless I put them to my nose. I wore these about 4 or 5 days out of the week for about 2 or 3 months, then when the warmer weather came along, I stopped wearing them. They have been fine, but don't have much cushion to them, if any. I purchased at $38 and I can't really complain, but I would have been happier at a lower price. They look great and I get lots of compliments on them, but they do squeak bad and it is annoying. Also, there's no grip on the bottoms, so if you're on a hard surface which may be wet or waxed, be very careful. I would buy these again but probably not for more than about $30.

I have 5 pairs of these but waiting for my new pair because the wrong color boot was delivered and still have not received the correct boot. I sent the incorrect boot back and hopefully they will show up soon

Looks great

They look good for the price. But there are some issues to be aware of and the other reviews are accurate. First, they are synthetic and not leather. For this price, you can understand that. I bought two sets of different colors. In each case the lighter color (brown or grey) looks very fake and not at all like leather. The darker part of the book looks enough like leather to fool you from 6 feet away. I like the side zipper as it makes them quick to put on. Quality is OK. Clearly these are a product from China. I suspect I will get some decent use out of these as rough/casual shoes. They did smell a bit like gasoline or rubber when I got them (as others have noted.) That smell went away about 75%. My biggest issue is that they are very hot. I guess you want that from a boot when it's cold outside, but the synthetic material does not breathe at all and they are too hot to wear unless it's cold out.

Not sure what you can expect for the price they are great boots

The shoes fit well and are great for the price!! I ordered some chuc boots in brown and they have been holding up really well after these last 6 months. I followed the instructions on ordering a half-size smaller than normal. I wear a size 10 and i ordered a 9.5. Once I received the shoes, I placed them right next to a pair of my old shoes to compare size, and the length is the same. Yet when I put them on, I had like an extra inch of space in the toe area. My old pair of shoes are 10 and fit nicely. Anyways, I would definitely buy a pair of shoes like these again in another color and totally use them every day!! I believe they are a great quality shoe for the money and they look great!! But if you are gonna buy a pair, definitely order a half-size smaller or a whole size smaller.

Good looking boots. I got them because they look old fashioned, I like to bring a little steampunk into my daily life. I normally wear a 10 but the reviews all said to order a size smaller than normal. I ordered a 9 and they fit pretty well. A little narrow but I think they'll break in soon enough. They squeak and they smell...strange. I expect both of these will fade after a few days. This is my first day wearing them to work. I've had them on a few hours, now. My feet are a little sore but no worse than breaking in any dress shoe. They're wingtips, not Chuck Taylors. Shipping was a full week earlier than estimated. Overall, pleased with the purchase. - Frank VUpdate: After wearing them for three days I'd have to say the break-in period was relatively pain free. Pleasantly surprised, I expected them to be feet crushers. And the smell wears off.

Overall a comfortable boot. It has a really nice look to it that can either be dressed up or casual. The downside is the unbelievable chemical smell. It smells like it was painted with Sharpie pen. I left them outside for days and still smells horrible. I feel there has to be a better way to make shoes not smell like this
