Used it to make non-slip, water-resistant fabric backing. It's excellent for that!
I wanted this to use to create non-slip, water-resistant fabric backing. This did the trick in one coat. I just applied it with a paint brush, in a thick coat. It dried quickly, and is so far working exactly as I intended for it to work.I'll try to remember to update this once I launder the item. If you are trying this yourself, it should be washable in warm to cool water, but air dry it. Putting it in the dryer will probably cause a big mess for you and ruin the finish.**UPDATE**Since writing this review, I've used this for several non-traditional applications--mostly on launderable items--so I can update on its wash- and dryability!I wanted some thick knee-high slipper socks with non-slip bottoms, so I bought a pair of thick ivory socks and applied 3 coats of this plastidip to the bottoms. After letting them dry for 48 hours, I was thrilled with how they turned out.But when it came time to wash them, I forgot they were in the wash load and they were washed in hot water and dried at high heat.To my surprise, they came out just fine! No problems at all--in fact, the dirt that had accumulated on the bottoms came out beautifully...I assumed they would look dingy, but they looked unworn! So I've probably laundered and dried them 2 dozen times since, and I'm just now noticing that the finish needs to be reapplied, because they are starting to not be waterproof on the bottoms (I wear them outside sometimes, so I've no doubt that walking on concrete also impacts the wear). But they still launder to look brand new, and I'm convinced now, more than ever, that plastdip is the best stuff to make fabrics water- and slip-proof!

Repaired dioscountined eyeglass frames
This is my first order. My glasses are no longer being made and I can't buy the ear pieces. So I'm using this to smooth the teeth marks left by my dog on the end of the temples. It works well. It helped me fill the cracks and smooth the surface. It sets up quickly but not so fast you can't work with it. Use your imagination. This is a good product limited only by what you do with it.

Easy to use
Works great and easy to use. Just wish it would’ve included the color kit.

Excellent product that really does a fantastic job.
I came across this product while doing research on how to insulate tools and on the instructions listed this product. Now I'll be the first one to say that this product will not protect you from 1000 volts like a insulated tool (for example a insulated Klein wire cutter) but it will protect from some voltage. I am not sure how much though. However, this product has done a terrific job in creating insulated, comfortable cushioned grip on a older wire cutter I have and this product has neither cracked, chipped or became brittle. Instead of simply buying a new wire cutter altogether. But what is really nice about this Plasti Dip in particular is that it's clear and if I so choose to, I can use color tinting and create a variety, if not endless amounts of colors. But I also like that I can use this on virtually any item with the exception of items near or in heat sources, open flame and anywhere sparks may occur, but that is pretty obvious. But it's also worth noting that this product is entirely flexible, provides insulation and is very durable. However, I do recommend that when using Plasti Dip that you wear both a NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) approved respirator and a pair of impervious gloves. The respirator because of smell this product emits and gloves for personal protection and provide a non slip grip. I would also recommend using this product in a well ventilated area and have a location to place the item dry. The drying time takes 30 minutes and once dry, you can coat again.Over all this is a great product and I would and have recommend this to anyone.

Sending out the wrong color - mislabled in warehouse
I thought I posted this review weeks ago, but apparently not! Although the product is good, I've received the wrong color twice. The cans come from the warehouse in plastic that labels them as clear, but the can inside is clearly black. No one's fault, but the black is useless for my case, and now I have two cans of it

Used it for something strange: to 'de-sensitize' my car remote (updated)
The remote for our latest vehicle (2012 Toyota Sienna) has a hair-trigger, and having my key chain in my pocket led to regular unintentional button presses, sometimes multiple times a day, caused by nothing more than standing up from a chair or bending over to feed the dogs. I would go out in the morning and find the van unlocked or side doors slid open, all because the remote buttons activated so easily. For decades I have carried my car remote on my key chain in my pocket and never had this problem, and it was driving me crazy.I looked for an after-market silicone cover, but I couldn't find one for our particular configuration of buttons. But it got me thinking that if I could coat the remote in something rubbery it would cut down on the incidental, unintentional button presses. I have used black Plasti-Dip in the past for other things, and was happy to find they also have a clear version.Long story short, I put four coats of this on my remote and now the buttons don't press while in my pocket! I have also uploaded a picture if you want to see the final product. After four coats it's not quite clear and has a little bit of haze, but the button icons are still easily readable. There's no telling how it will hold up long term, and I plan to come back here and update this review as events warrant, but right now it has worked exactly as expected, and I couldn't be happier with it..UPDATE 2014-03-04: Well, after nine months the remote is still working as expected and the plasti-dip coating is still greatly reducing inadvertent button presses, so no complaints.

PRODUCT WEIGHT NOT AS LABELED
Make sure to weight the item! The product I received weights significantly less than the label. (And that’s including the metal can itself!!!!)
