Will his fit a gen 4, according to Glock's website it does

I can't say for certain, but my guess is no. I bought an LG-639 for a Glock 19 Gen 3 I bought at a gun shop. The folks at the gun shop sold me an LG-851, by mistake, which fits a 19, 23, 32 Gen 4. The 851 would not fit a 19 or 23 Gen 3. I do know the 639 will fit a 19 or 23, Gen 3, I have both.
