Love this helmet. It fits great and the blinkers work amazing at night plus it has a headlight on top.

I bought the white for higher visibility—my old helmet was black.Setting up the helmet (pairing to my iPhone) was a breeze. I love being able to customize the blinking pattern/timing of the front and rear lights.It’s really comfortable, and I really don’t notice the extra weight—it’s about 7 oz heavier than my previous helment.My old helmet had a magnetic visor that was tinted, so while it made me look “cool”, I can see so much better with clear visor. And the bottom edge of this visor actually touches my cheeks (lightly), and virtually no wind come into my eyes. My old helmet had a much wider gap, so I could feel wind blowing through on hills when I would hit higher speeds.The MIPS technology is also a plus. Hopefully I’ll never have to actually take advantage of it!!Overall, a great piece of technology and style. Form and function working together beautifully. The safety and peace of mind with well worth the price.The only downside is the sound of the turn signals (esp the “car blinker”) is way too quiet, and I can’t hear it when I’m on the road. The “beep” works, but I wish I could control the volume with the app. Maybe they can add that with a firmware upgrade down the road. Fingers crossed.Love this helmet.***UPDATE: Since delivery of my helmet, I got an Apple Watch SE (2022), and got the “arm-gesture turn signaling” working! Took some figuring out to do to get the Beta test working (i.e., getting Lumos App from my iPhone to the Apple Watch), but once I did, it works really well. Now when I use my left arm to signal my turns, the lights on the Lumos helmet flash accordingly. Love that I don’t have to fumble with the remote on the handlebars to use the turn signals anymore.The only downside it that the Apple Watch can’t have two apps working at the same time, so I can’t track my biking stats and use the Lumos turning app at the simultaneously. But, I love having the hands-free signaling, so I use that exclusively. Great tech!

I am a long time Lumos helmet user and have been very happy with their helmets. Having flashing lights at helmet level really helps cars to see me faster than just my other lights alone.It is very helpful to have both front and rear signal lights, so I bought this, even though I have a road bike. This is the only model that has front and rear signals now since the Kickstart version.Another benefit is its ability to handle higher speed crashes since I am often riding at E-bike speedsThe faceshield will be handy in the rain, and there’s enough room beneath for sunglassesIt’s too bad that they don’t make these in fluorescent green because that color is so much easier for cars to see that other colors. The side lights on this one, however, do help with that.I have now had a chance to use the helmet on a ride and it works very well and is very comfortable. The fit is best of any Lumos helmet so far.

I like the helmet and the lights. One safety concern, you can’t tell if the turn signals are working. You have to trust that they are working, which puts you at risk in traffic situations. Perhaps an audible beep so you can have confidence it’s on.

This is the second MIPS-equipped Lumos bike helmet that I've acquired. My first Lumos helmet is the Lumos Ultra helmet (non-ebike model), which I backed on Kickstarter. That is also a wonderful product.But this ebike version, which is about $70 more than my "regular" Ultra, is worth every penny of its price. It is substantially better built than the Ultra, but its weight is never overwhelming. It is unbelievably comfortable, and it is both cool temperature-wise and cool looking!I love the front turn signals integrated into the flip-down visor (they work whether you put the visor down or not), which my Lumos Ultra does not have. Like my Ultra, the Ultra E-Bike Smart Helmet also works with the Lumos turn signal remotes and syncs with Lumos Firefly head/tail lights, all of which I own and joyfully use. This is a very nice helmet to have when you’re out on bike rides

My husband was not pleased that I spent so much on this helmet, but after he wore it, he agreed with me. It's worth the money. 1. I LOVE the shield that covers the eyes. When the weather is icky, dark, rainy, this protects the eyes and makes riding so much more comfortable. 2. The turn signal and lights amp up the safety for the ride. Folks have commented that they can see the signals versus hand gestures.. 3. It's comfortable and cool to wear. I hate my old helmets because they get sooo bloody hot. This one is well vented and I stay cool and don't get helmet hair. 4. NTA highly rated. Makes me feel better if I have a fall. No regrets for this purchase.

I do like this helmet. It’s sturdy and the lighting definitely improves visibility. I have it set for solid bright white in the front and blinking red in the back. I consider the turn signals a gimmick that most motorists won’t even notice. The white light is not really bright enough to use as a headlamp. But it does improve your visibility to other drivers. Really the only downside is it’s really expensive.
