I smell like cake
This stuff is technically for my wife and my daughters. That didn't stop me from trying it. Now I smell like vanilla cake. Seriously, I smell like cake. I want cake now.I put this on the same way I put on all lotions. In other words, I put it on when I was fresh out of the shower. Lotions tend to absorb better that way. The first thing I noticed is what I already mentioned. Cake. I don't think I've ever used a body lotion that made me as hungry as this stuff does. Second thing I noticed is that it is a bit on the greasy side. It's a thicker lotion. In other words, you don't need a whole lot. It does absorb, but I did need to wipe it off of my face to get it all off. Some didn't absorb. That was partially my fault, considering I didn't know how much to use. I didn't use a ton, but my face also is in all that dry. If I ever decide to smell like cake again, I'd use less.My daughters also decided to try this, and they all agree that it smells like cake. The smell does linger for a while. I mention that because some lotion smell right out of the bottle, but then the smell fades after a minute or two. I still smell like cake a good 20 minutes later. I can hear my daughters talking about cake right now, so they must agree on that one too.The bottle itself is a little strange. Well, I guess it's not that strange but you have to put the dispenser in. The only odd thing about that is the fact that you have to pull this little plug out. It was a little bit difficult to do with my fingers, so I just used a pair of pliers that were sitting there. You could probably get it out if you have some fingernails, but I had pliers, so I use those. After that you just stick the dispenser in and press it until it comes out.My skin definitely does feel smooth after using it. I'd actually say it feels smoother than it typically does when I use regular lotion. Typically, I use some lotion specifically geared towards men that smells like motor oil or jet engines or something. I don't think I'd want to walk around smelling like cake all the time, but it definitely does make me feel soft and smooth.

Works
It doesn’t leave me greasy & keeps my skin soft a long while& smells good. HOWEVER, that smell is strong AF, so I usually top with raw mango butter or almond oil.

Emollient Ingredients
Probably what I like most about this lotion is the fact that it isn't overly vanilla. You know what I'm talking about when I say that some vanilla scented lotion makes you smell like you've been rolling around in a triple-layer cake. Sometimes I find the heavier vanilla scent to be welcoming, but usually my personal preference is for a lighter scent, and that's what I found in this lotion by Botanic Hearth. With the ingredients containing Vitamin E, cocoa butter, shea oil, olive oil, coconut oil and dimethicone, there's little question on the emollient power of this lotion. For my preferences, it is just the right consistency out of the pump, not too thick or thin. It pumps well -- and when I say that I mean to compare some pumps that for whatever reason seem to shoot out the lotion and it winds up on the floor, your clothes, whatever. Not sure what factors into that, but I'm glad this works well.Given that it does have all these oils, yes, if you go overboard (as I tend to do in life) it will feel greasier than if you just use a little then when that is absorbed, go back for another layer. That said, it left my dry skin feeling very much hydrated, and that summer "scaly" factor was gone. The only thing I wish personally is that this was made in the USA, not in India but that is just a personal ethic, and cannot detract from the effectiveness of this product. I will say though that at time of receipt this is $20 for 16 ounces, which for my budget is a little pricey. It may be comparable to some top tier lotions available in drugstores or box chains yes, but to me, it's still a little too costly and I'd like to see the price come down some for future purchases.

Decent Lotion, But Missing Pump Was a Letdown
The Botanic Hearth Coconut Ceramide lotion has a nice texture—lightweight, absorbs quickly, and leaves skin feeling hydrated without a greasy finish. The scent is mild and clean if you like coconut, and the formula seems well-suited for sensitive skin. However, my bottle arrived without the hand pump, which made dispensing the lotion inconvenient. It’s a solid daily lotion at a fair price for the size of the bottle, but missing components like the pump knock down the overall value and usability and make the product appeared used already.

💧 Botanic Hearth Blueberry & Plant Squalene Body Lotion
As someone who proudly calls herself the lotion and hydration queen, I’m constantly reapplying moisturizer throughout the day, after my shower, mid afternoon, right before bed. After two weeks with this Blueberry & Plant Squalene Body Lotion, I can confidently say it has become my go to.First, the pump deserves its own applause. It dispenses the lotion in the prettiest little ribbon, giving me exactly the right amount every time, no messy over-pump or awkward shaking to get the last bit out.The texture is divine: silky, smooth, and quick-absorbing with zero greasy residue. I can apply it right before getting dressed without worrying about sticking to my clothes. The blueberry scent is subtly sweet, making it feel like a mini spa moment every time I use it.After my evening shower, it locks in moisture so well that I wake up with skin that still feels soft and nourished. And just before bed, it’s like a comfort ritual; the perfect last step in my self care routine. The plant squalene and blend of oils feel like they’re feeding my skin exactly what it needs to stay supple all day. My dry patches have completely disappeared, and my arms and legs have that healthy, moisturized glow I live for.All in all, if you’re as serious about hydration as I am, you need this lotion in your life. It’s lightweight, deeply moisturizing, and has the kind of pump that makes reapplying throughout the day a joy.
