It may as it creates a seal over the sole, so the sole does not get marked up — so o believe if the sole isn’t marked up then the floor may not be

are these removeable? will they damage the shoe or leave sticky residue if i take them off?

Yes removable just don’t apply heat after sticking them on. No they did not leave residue but I didn’t use a blow dryer to make the glue activate.

Can these tiles be acid etched?

It is just glass, we did not suggest to do so.
