Cuisinart Coffee Maker, 12-Cup Glass Carafe, Automatic Hot & Iced Coffee Maker, Single Server Brewer, Stainless Steel, SS-16

This is a replacement for one that leaked and would not power up. This one works great. I have had 3 of them so far

I purchased this particular brand as I have owned a half dozen different Keurig coffee makers prior. However, every Keurig has failed usually within a year. The Cuisinart is nice and works well so far. But two areas in the design could use some minor improvement. First, the water tank is really not big enough. After 3 cups of 12 ounce coffees it needs refilling...it would nice if it was bigger. Secondly, there is an internal hinged lift inside the water tank that if you fill it to the top water leaks out where the hinge is attached through the sides of the water tank. Both are very minor annoyances. Otherwise it works just fine...so far. I now keep a spare coffee maker on hand when I have to wait for a warranty replacement. I hope I never have to use it with the Cuisinart.Well, my luck didn't pan out as of March 2025. Within the last few weeks the pod only dispenses 8 ounces of coffee on the 12-ounce setting and within the last few days it sometimes gives an E07 error. I have thoroughly cleaned it with vinegar as instructed. The cleaning cycle gives 16-ounces of liquid so it is not a pump problem. So, this one has lasted only 7 months. It has become obvious to me that neither Keurig or Cuisinart can manufacture a quality product.

We’ve been using this Cuisinart coffee maker since 2023 and it’s still going strong! I love that it has a thermal carafe on one side and a K-Cup brewer on the other — perfect for our household’s different coffee needs. The dual reservoirs make it super convenient, and the stainless steel color matches all of our other appliances beautifully.It’s easy to maintain and clean — we just follow the cleaning alert when it notifies us, and it’s been hassle-free. The coffee comes out at the perfect temperature and tastes great every time. After a couple of years of daily use, I can confidently say this has been a solid purchase. Highly recommend!

I bought this coffeemaker because the previous cuisinart I had lasted me Y least 5 years. I am very happy with this product so far. I love how the single serve side remembers how many ounces was last used. The ease of use for both sides is fantastic. Being able to set the carafe temp , and the added bonus of being able to brew over ice!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is a generally good coffee maker with easy to use options for single cup or a carafe. Coffee brew quickly although the single cup isn't as hot as my wife likes. It's affordable and just about everything works well. There's one design flaw that I predicted would become a problem the moment I opened the package. The coffee pod has an extremely cheap little one piece plastic hinge on the lid that helps filter the water into the coffee. I knew it would break within 6 months, and actually within 3 months it broke from simple daily opening and cleaning. It's not the end of the world, just an annoyance, but they could have easily made this one part with longevity in mind. I will see if the manufacturer will send me a couple pods so I can make it the next six months.

Having the dual option of brewing 12 cups or using single-cup pods ups the coffee making experience. Sleek design and dark blue color make it even better.

We enjoy the craft side of this coffee machine. We have had major issues with the pod side. Each time we use it, since the first time, it overflows and grounds get all in the cup of coffee and also all in and around the machine. It is a pain to clean the grounds out of the machine because no parts come out to clean, you just have to wipe inside and around until all the grounds are gone, this is very time consuming. Also when I contacted Cuisinart customer service I do not think their return policy is fair. They want me to cut the cord to the machine, take a picture of this, send back the machine and then wait 2 weeks for the replacement, therefore we would be without a coffee pot for two weeks because they sell a faulty product? If I have to go out and get a new coffee pot I’m going to buy a new one and not waste 200$ on one that doesn’t work well. I asked if they could charge me for the new one, ship it and then refund me when they get my broken one back, so we can use the craft side in the mean time, so we don’t have to be without one. They told me no, and I will have to go without and wait for the replacement. Seems strange, I asked why they operate this way and they responded, “we have alot of fraud and don’t trust customers to return the products”. Well welcome to the world, everyone deals with fraud, unfortunately part of owning a company is making the customer happy and standing behind your product. Very disappointed in this company and the product quality. Do not buy this machine!
