OXOOutdoor Silicone Camp Stove Spoon

I always LOVE products from OXO and have been using them for years. I have only once had a product fail from OXO and that's a pretty darn good track record. I got this for summertime grilling, usually I like making baked beans on the grill while doing steaks and burgers. Yeah Baked Beans with A1 Bold & Spicy sauce and some added stuff...... Mmm good eating. But on to this spoon for review, it has a good thick handle that will hold up to thicker mixes, wife has been using also for potato salad, so it will hold up to whatever you throw at it. Since it has a silicone head to it, it's really easy clean up after you're finished using it and helps form the head to your bowl to remove all food.Highly suggest OXO products, really love this brand and has been my go to when I buy kitchen items. I know what to expect from them and have only been disappointed once by a product of theirs, and that was a sink strainer that broke apart.

I originally got this for backyard cooking, but my wife appropriated it as soon as she saw it. Now it's permanently in the kitchen.It's hard to say fantastic about a spoon, but this spoon is fantastic. It's well balanced and just the right size. Oxo always seems to come up with the best stuff! The bowl of this spoon is a very nice balance between a stirring device and a ladle. It wouldn't be perfect for soup, but for beans or cut vegetables or just about anything else you might make, this works super well. It's even good for something like spaghetti sauce if you're not just wanting to douse your noodles.I do a lot of the indoor cooking too, and one of my favorite things to do is stir fry mixed vegetables. It turns out the spoon is fantastic for that too because it stirs nicely, and it can still function as a server.This is just perfect. I don’t think one will be enough.

OXO tends to have excellent and well made products, and this camp stove spoon is another great OXO product.The spoon is well made from a combination of brushed stainless steel and silicone. The spoon feels sturdy, robust, and well made.The spoon has a nice shape that allows it to be used effectively as for stirring, scraping, and scooping. It's generously sized, has a comfortable grip, and balances nicely.I washed the spoon in the upper rack of my dishwasher and it came out perfectly.All in all... excellent.

It's a very nice spoon, good heft, size and shape.The solid bowl with flexible edges is nice.And I really liked the non-slip grip and comfortable handle.Except for two things:There's no way to grab the handle without touching the tang because the silicon is inserted in a loop of the tang. Which in a perfect world wouldn't be a problem. But in my world a spoon gets left in a hot pan, or too close to the fire for too long, too often.(And my wooden handles have the char marks to show how often this happens.)I can still pick up a wood clad or silicone sleeved handle when all the metal is hot, but not this design.And, a lesser annoyance, the tang is stamped sheet metal (same as the blade, obviously) that is rolled leaving an uncomfortably sharp edge between the handle proper and the blade where it's not protected by the silicon insert.

I really like this spoon and is now my go-to spoon when cooking on the stove. It's big, firm, but not too heavy. I feel like I have complete control over it in the pan. The shape and depth of the spoon, with the silicon material makes it easy to scoop and flip things over, and nice to know won't scratch and safe to use in all types of cookware. The handle is super comfortable as well. Fast and easy to clean, everything comes off easy in the sink just like a non-stick pan. Honestly I can't think of anything even minor or small to complain about.... truly 5 stars.

Very nice silicon spoon. It works well camping, but I also use it in my kitchen indoors. This spoon is very sturdy for stews, chili, scooping sloppy joe's, and frying diced potatoes and hamburger. The handle is soft and comfortable to use and grip onto even when using with hot dishes. This large spoon also cleans easily and can even be washed in the dishwasher. I just wash mine by hand because it was just as simple to do that way. At this price, this is a very good value. I highly recommend this spoon and feel it would also make a great present too.

This silicone camp spoon is really nicely made. The silicone is buttery smooth and the handle is very comfortable to hold. The spoon isn't very deep and doesn't have a large capacity. The metal handle is hollow on the back but it's still very sturdy. Great quality camp spoon.

Spoon has a soft grip handle and the just a 1/4 inch of the tip of the spoon is flexy silicone. The rest of the spoon has metal firm inside covered in silicone. The spoon fills good and sturdy and can be used as a spatula / spoon in nonstick pans.
