Can this freezer be used in a garage?

We have ours in a garage but have not gone through a winter with it yet. So far it has held up fine. The light burnt out only have two weeks but other than that it is fine

Does this lid open all the way or does it stop at an angle?

It opens all the way up. This is an awesome freezer. Have had it for a year and have had no problems.
