Q: How wide is the beam at around 50 or 100 yards?

It holds a tight beam well past 100 yards. I bought it to coon hunt but the dimmer switch doesn't work most of the time, so it's all on or off. If you're using it for coyote hunting or just need a bright light, you'll be happy with it. If you're buying it for coon hunting, I am of the opinion that you will not be happy with this in the end. I ended up getting a Boss Hotspot, expensive light but well made and worth the money. I run the woods 2-3 nights a week, so it well built light "pays" for itself quickly.

Q: does this light throw a good beam like the nite lite brand? I've always used nite lite but gotta have a new one

I also have a night light. This light for the money is worth every penny. I highly recommend buying this light instead of buying a high dollar light for the same quality .

Q: How do you know when its fully charged?

It says 18hr is full charge so,I let it charge all nite after each normal use.

Q: Does this light require a special bracket to mount to a hat? What hat are you using to mount the light to?

I'm using the head band that came with it. But it'll mount on any hat made for a head lamp I think. It does on the nite lite hats anyway. And just so you know, this is a very good light. Very bright
