Purchased a larger one of these a while back, and when this popped up on a lightening deal, I grabbed it. They stick to the counter and do not slide, and the printed rulers and circles make it very easy to roll dough out to the appropriate size and shape. These mats lift off the countertop easily, leaving the surface clean, and these mats easily clean up in the sink. They roll up (or fold up) for easy compact storage. If you bake a lot, have at least one of these around.

My boyfriend is talented in the kitchen. He makes all sorts of breads and delicious kitcheny wonderful things. I wanted to get him to make breads and goodies more often, but I knew what a pain it was to setup and get sorted for in the kitchen all the time. I was looking around at things that could make his life easier and I stumbled across this.Just roll it out, sprinkle some flour on it and start working on your dough (or other goodies). Cleaning up is a breeze afterwards as well. Just throw into the sink and give it a scrub and put it aside to dry! So much easier than making a whole big mess out of your kitchen space.I'm glad I bought this for him. Our house often smells like tasty tasty bread things XDIf you're thinking of getting this as a gift for someone, I'll leave you with this from Julia Child: "I think careful cooking is love, don't you? Super easy to use,clean & store..

The mat is easy to roll and sticks to your countertop with ease(as long as there is no water or flour under the mat itself). It’s thin which is great for storage and moving. The mat can pretty easily slide/shift on your countertop with enough force. I only make sourdough and because of that I don't use all the conversions and extra measurements on the mat. For its price point and basic features it meets our needs but I could see why a more serious baker or chef would want more.

I ordered the 24 x 32…..This mat is huge! It has lots of nice qualities. Its large enough that you can work on a couple of projects at once. It has sizes marked circles for pie crusts, inches for measuring on the mat for easy usage. It stays put on the counter when working and kneading dough. It has a nice thickness and isn’t isn’t flimsy so it should last for ages!

Easy to clean, easy to store, and very fun

Like, Wow! How come I never knew about a pastry mat before!?For years now I've been rolling out pie dough on my butcher block counter top... throwing down some flour to roll, and then cleaning up the mess (the flour got embedded into the grain of the wood). This mat has been the solution to my problems. It's easy to clean (very easy) and it's got size measurements for rolling out dough, plus side measurements when I'm shaping other types of dough (it goes without saying that I'm not very good when it come to eye-balling dimensions). It's been totally durable - not intended for knife work - and takes next to no space to store.It's the product that I never knew I needed!

This silicone mat is exceptionally useful when preparing dough. I have always hated the chore of rolling out, but this mat has changed my baking life. It stays in place when you’re kneading or rolling dough, even if you’re really putting pressure on it, and you only need a small amount of flour to keep things from sticking to it. If you need a bit of guidance on how big to roll out your pastry, this mat has you covered. It’s super easy to clean, as well. I have bought a lot of kitchen tools recently, and this may be my favourite and most used.
