Great for learning to read on your own!
Easy enough to pick up and read by themselves but still interesting enough to keep picking it up over and over. Great confidence builder. Recommend all the National Geographic readers!

I know who will enjoy this book
I teach young students ages 4 to 7 or 8 years-old. There are students who find one thing fascinates them. One child loved cars, his favourite word that year was "ambulance"' ' The next year he expanded his interest into dinosaurs, more rapidly he gained his third 'Very best most favourite to talk about.' 'Whales and Sharks.' I am hoping that this can become the next topic hmmm he is really into Planet's just now. . . 'reciting them in order an learning some basic facts. So maybe this will be interest number five! Just in time because you are six-years old now Tran Le.

Great series, even for toddlers!
My 2 year old LOVES this entire series of Nat. Geo Readers... I have purchased about 25 different titles, "pre-readers" as well as Level 1 & 2 readers. She loves them all & will ask for certain ones. The "pre-readers" level books are extremely simple & great because she memorizes the words & can "read" it herself. We love the more advanced ones too, because there is more information to talk about. I have learned quite a few facts, myself!) What a great series. The price is reasonable & pictures are great. These are really getting her interested in nature, animals & science... I will continue to buy these as they are released, for our collection!

What's in the Blue stuff called Water?
I purchased this book for my son who is diagnosed with Autism and aspire to become an Ecologist in the area of Marine Biologist. This book has very large and bright pictures and colors. It is written for young people and only has a few pages. Although I son like the book, even with the text bubbles and large print, he wished that it were more information to review. I really liked the pictures and enjoyed the information included. He thought it was a nice refresher. They were like small posters for him as was the NG Kids Wild Animal Atlas. He wants me to try and find the adult versions of these books. I am still looking.I would refer these this book to others.

Kids just love it (old review title: Not worth it, but entertaining for kids)
I haven't met a kid who hasn't loved this book. The illustrations, the weird creatures, they love it. My 4 yr old's absolute favorite book. Seeing as my previous review was from *my* point of view, but the product is not for me, I upgraded my rating to a five.Old review: This book is very thin and shallow in terms of content. It's kinda like a foldout in a magazine made into book form. Even 3.50 is too high a price for it. The content is somewhat disjointed - I feel that even a book of this size and subject matter could do with some structure. On the other hand, my kid likes it.

Sea Creatures and Weird in the title! Bring it on!
My grandson is enthralled by the deep sea and all of its strangeness and diversity. This book joined by a bundle of others was chosen to provide him with lots more knowledge, and give rise to more questions as his imagination keeps on expanding!May he always love books ans learning - especially about the ocean and it’s creatures - weird or not

Appealing, informative and fun
Small and slightly flimsy book so wouldn’t look very impressive as a gift but is perfect for underwater enthusiasts. My son loved octonauts and actually developed a really impressive knowledge of underwater creatures from their ‘creature reports’ . This book solidified his knowledge and also expanded it, as well as increasing his enthusiasm. Is a great book. Even held my attention. Would entertain anyone from 4-100!! Interesting facts set out in an appealing way.

Images useful for printing ideas.
Good images and intended to be read by 5-6 year old. Purchased for ideas for an adult printing project for which it is fine, but it is a thin book. Photographs are brightly coloured and on glossy paper. Some of the fish are camouflaged into the background so may be difficult for youngsters to see clearly the fish concerned.

Weird creatures
this was an interesting little book, valued by my grandson, I thought there would be more pages, but he seemed happy enough with it.

Not impressed
This product does not give facts about individual weird sea creatures like you are lead to believe. The fasts are common sense eg. Camouflage helps animals hide.
