Bought as a gift
I got this for my older sister to keep in the vehicle or in her purse. Knives can save lives. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it!!!

A real gem of a knife!
I hadn't heard of Opinel until a friend told me about them. After a little research, I decided to get a No. 6 to try one, and really liked the look of the Colorama. What a fantastic knife - the feel is fantastic and the blade came out of the box super sharp. There is something about the look and feel of this knife that I just love. I expect to buy more of their knives in the future. Highly recommended.

Six stars for the dealer, 3 for the knife
First, let me say the dealer fulfilled their part admirably, The product arrived early and properly shipped. The knife however was not up to typical Opinel standards as were my other Opinel knives. The blade appeared to have water marks on it which I removed with food grade mineral oil. The blade had a significant burr (from grinding?). The edge had the appearance of rust which I was able to remove with a ceramic stone. So far I was still happy with the knife.. The remaining problem is the locking ring, it is very hard to turn. I removed it and could find no reason for the difficulty. After putting some Bees wax on the ring it works a little better. I had bought this for my daughter but now I will keep it for myself. Again, these faults do not reflect on the seller, I would not hesitate to buy from them again.
