Xeroform Petrolatum Gauze (4"x4") (Box of 25)These gauze squares sealed in an envelope with what is essentially Vaseline are great for moist packs for wounds.Unlike regular gauze or bandages, these reduce the likelihood of drying on the wound. When the gauze/bandage is changed to clean the wound and apply antibiotic ointment, etc., these gauze squares are less likely to be stuck to the wound (due to dried blood or pus) so you should have less pain and (hopefully) won't reopen part or all the wound and be back at square one.Pay attention to the expiration date. Even though these gauze squares are individually sealed in sterile envelopes, they will dry out past their expiration date. When that happens, you lose the full benefit of the moist pack, and some parts of the gauze squares will stick to the wound, which is a situation best avoided.

Excellent gauze for wound care. I used this on my elderly Mum after she required stitches. The ER put this gauze on the wound, and recommended it. Got them to have on hand as she cuts herself with her skin being so thin.

these are fabulous. Helping to heal a wound that has been unhealable for 6 months. Went to patient first and they told us to get this. Great advice.

this product is a God Send if you have Lymphedema with open wounds. its helped me heal up. and the wounds are getting smaller each day.. worth 2x the price.

awesome product!! I had a terrible dog bite and using this helped it to heal fast. I had no clue before using this product that people need to keep open sores or injuries covered so they can heal properly and hopefully less scars. Highly recommend!

This is great if you have a wound that needs to heal. It keeps the wound moist, but not wet.

Not what I expected at all. A nurse told me to order it for my mother, I thought it would be the antiseptic on one side and dry pad on the other. The whole pad was wet and the smell was very strong. I don’t think the product is bad or wrong it just was not what I expected

These were recommended by our Ortho doctor. Husband has an open wound from a lawnmower accident. Important that his wrap not stick and pull away any area trying to heal.
